Jayson Tatum, Celtics Ripped by NBA Fans for Flat Play vs. Kawhi Leonard, Clippers
The Los Angeles Clippers didn't miss a beat in the second game of a back-to-back, pummeling the Boston Celtics on the road 115-96.
Kawhi Leonard led the way for the Clippers with 26 points and Paul George added 17 points on the way to a dominant win over the team with the league's best record.
The Celtics' starters were no where to be found in the game. Jayson Tatum had 21 points, but the rest of the starters put up duds. Jaylen Brown had just eight points, Jrue Holiday put up seven and Derick White scored two. Al Horford, starting for an injured Kristaps Porzingus, did not score in the game.
Naturally, the dull performance from Boston—which had a dominant win over the Miami Heat earlier this week—drew major criticism on social media.
The poor offensive night from the Celtics is especially shocking when compared to their performance on Thursday against the Heat. In that game, Boston shot an outstanding 63% from the field just to follow it up with an inefficient 35% on Saturday.
The red-hot Clippers have won five straight games, to move to 30-14 on the year.
