Texans vs. Ravens: Daily Fantasy Sleepers, Lineup Picks for FanDuel, DraftKings
The key to daily fantasy football success on Saturday may be figuring out which Baltimore Ravens pass-catchers will be most successful against the Houston Texans.
Lamar Jackson has a handful of options to choose from in the passing game from Odell Beckham Jr. to Isaiah Likely, and if you pick the right combination from the Baltimore offense, you should place in FanDuel and DraftKings contests.
The DFS approach for the Texans offense is much simpler because C.J. Stroud loves throwing to Nico Collins.
Stroud and Collins could carry the highest roster percentage of any quarterback-wide receiver combination on Saturday's two-game slate because of their recent success.
It is easy to trust the duo that has delivered week in and week out, but to have DFS success, you need to pick out the right Baltimore players to package with Lamar Jackson in a potential lineup stack.
Start Any Baltimore Stack with Isaiah Likely
1 of 3
Isaiah Likely has the most defined role in the Baltimore passing game.
Likely is still the No. 1 tight end on the depth chart with Mark Andrews out injured. Andrews pushed to play in the divisional round, but he was ruled out on Friday.
Likely recorded two touchdowns in the last game played by all of Baltimore's starters in Week 17 against the Miami Dolphins.
The second-year started had at least 40 receiving yards in every game between Weeks 13 and 17. He enters the postseason with a touchdown in four of his last five appearances.
The receiving-yard consistency and touchdown production makes Likely a must-start player in any Saturday DFS contest. The matchup with Houston also plays in his favor. The Texans tied the Cincinnati Bengals for the most receptions allowed to tight ends this season.
Likely should be paired with Lamar Jackson to start a Baltimore lineup stack, and even if you go with a Houston stack, he should be in the lineup because of his scoring potential.
Trust the C.J. Stroud, Nico Collins Combination
2 of 3
Stroud and Collins have been one of the most reliable quarterback-wide receiver duos over the last few weeks.
Collins caught all nine of his targets for 195 yards and a touchdown in the Week 18 elimination game against the Indianapolis Colts.
He followed that up with a six-catch, 96-yard, one-touchdown performance in the wild-card win over the Cleveland Browns.
Stroud will throw the ball in Collins' direction on a frequent basis. He will challenge the Ravens to stop his top target before he targets other players at a high volume.
Stroud and Collins form the best DFS duo on Saturday's slate because of their high volume in pressure-packed games.
Do not be surprised if they carry some of the highest roster percentages in Texans-Ravens contests, as well as two-game contests that also feature the Green Bay Packers-San Francisco 49ers game.
Look for a Rashod Bateman Breakout Game
3 of 3
Jackson has a good mix of options to work with in the Baltimore passing game.
Likely should receive a good bit of targets because of Houston's vulnerability against tight ends.
After that, the Baltimore passing game could be tricky to figure out because Odell Beckham Jr., Zay Flowers and Rashod Bateman may all have massive performances.
Bateman carries the lowest DFS salary among the trio and could have the highest point total on Saturday.
Bateman earned the most targets from Jackson in Week 17. He caught four of his six targets for 54 yards.
The third-year wide out earned at least four targets in each of his last five games, and while he only had one game over 50 yards, the high target rate is at least there.
Bateman could be the perfect sleeper play to complement players like Collins, Likely and Gus Edwards if he converts that high target rate into more catches and yards.
