Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮
In his first year in Los Angeles, Moore presided over an offense that averaged 329.4 yards per game and 20.4 points per game. In 2022, the Chargers averaged 359.3 yards and 23.0 points.
The team disappointingly finished with a 5-12 record this year and Staley was fired with three games left in the season along with general manager Tom Telesco. Instead of handing the reins to Moore, outside linebackers coach Giff Smith was promoted to interim head coach, but Los Angeles went 0-3 with him at the helm.
Moore made a name for himself after serving as Dallas Cowboys offensive coordinator from 2019 to 2022. He was frequently regarded as a prime head coaching candidate, but he chose to remain in his position. When he mutually parted ways with the Cowboys after the 2022 season, he opted to take the same position with the Chargers rather than taking a head coaching job.
It remains to be seen if Moore will finally t. ke the next step and earn a promotion to head coach of the Chargers this time around.
