Los Angeles Lakers: Andrew Bynum Should Be an All-Star
I think it's clear that Andrew Bynum is a beast.
And this article isn't just an overreaction to the last three games.
Ever since I saw how Bynum played last year when Pau Gasol was injured, I've been begging for Bynum to earn an All-Star nod.
Not only is he one of the best centers in the league, his skills are, in my opinion, unmatched by anyone other than Dwight Howard.
Try naming another center better than Bynum.
I know what the beef is with Bynum, though.
He gets injured too often.
What I'm saying is that if Bynum can remain healthy this season, not only is he a lock at the starting center spot in the All-Star Game, but he can help the Lakers make a deep championship run. That run could even result in an NBA title.
Consistency isn't an issue with Bynum (when healthy).
When he gets the ball where he wants it, he's almost unstoppable.
And an added bonus, he wants it anywhere inside of the paint. He's not picky.
He makes otherwise dominant centers/power forwards look helpless. They don't know how to guard him.
Last night, it was Luis Scola and Samuel Dalembert; Sunday and Saturday, Timofey Mozgov.
Now, Mozgov might not be that impressive, and Scola isn't really known for his defense, but Dalembert?
So, if you're wise, you will look at the NBA All-Star ballot and say, What do I need this for? Then text, type or bubble in Bynum's name to play the coveted midseason game in Orlando.
