Masters 2023 Payout: Prize Money and Purse Breakdown for Top Golfers
The 87th edition of the Masters had more than just the prestige of the green jacket on the line. A record-breaking $18 million purse was up for grabs, with the winner taking home a lofty $3.2 million.
Jon Rahm claimed the prize Sunday, enduring a significant grind to earn that privilege. Rahm completed 30 holes on the final day of the tournament to make up for the inclement weather on Saturday, finishing the third round with a 73 before firing off a 69 in the final round to surpass Brooks Koepka and win his first green jacket.
This was Rahm's fourth win of 2023 and his second major win in his career, with the first coming at the 2021 U.S. Open. Rahm became the fourth Spaniard to win the prestigious tournament joining Sergio Garcia, Jose Maria Olazabal and Seve Ballesteros.
He wasn't the only one enjoying the spoils of Augusta. Here is what the rest of the top 10 brought home after the tournament.
Winner: Jon Rahm, $3.24 million
Second (Tie): Brooks Koepka and Phil Mickelson, $1.58 million each
Fourth (Tie): Jordan Spieth, Patrick Reed and Russell Henley, $744,000 each
Seventh (Tie): Cam Young and Viktor Hovland, $603,000 each
Ninth: Sahith Theegala, $522,000
10th (Tie): Scottie Scheffler, Matt Fitzpatrick, Xander Schauffele and Collin Morikawa, $432,000 each

Koepka held a four-stroke lead going into the final day, but a four-over across the 30 holes was his undoing. An impressive 65 in the final round from Mickelson pushed him toward the top of the leaderboard.
Three of the finishers in the top sixโKoepka, Mickelson and Patrick Reedโare on the LIV Tour. Koepka's run, which was a major storyline through much of the weekend, came to a disappointing end, but the golfer feels like it could serve as positive momentum for the remaining majors.
"Just some days you have it, some days you don't, and today wasn't one of those," Koepka said. "But I feel good, and I expect to be there the other three [majors]."
Rahm noted the influence of Ballesteros' win, with the circumstances of the victory occurring on the late golfer's birthday and the 40th anniversary of his monumental win.
"History of the game is a big part of why I play and one of the reasons why I play, and Seve being one of them," Rahm said after putting on the green jacket.
"... For me to get it done on the 40th anniversary of his win, his birthday, on Easter Sunday, it's incredibly meaningful. And to finish it off the way that I didโan unusual par, very much a Seve parโit was, in a non-purposeful way, a testament to him. I know he was pulling for me today, and it was a great Sunday."
Rahm also reclaimed the No. 1 ranking with the victory, having held the spot for three weeks in late February to early March.
