NFL Playoff Bracket 2022: Updated Picture, Schedule After Sunday's Wild Card
With just one game left in Super Wild Card Weekend, the AFC playoff picture is set ahead of the divisional round of the NFL playoffs next weekend, and there is just one NFC game left to fill out that conference's bracket.
On Monday, the No. 4 Tampa Bay Buccaneers face the No. 5 Dallas Cowboys to determine which team will advance to face the No. 2 San Francisco 49ers.
The Niners trounced the Seattle Seahawks 41-23 in the Wild Card Round and have looked so good behind backup quarterback Brock Purdy that the team has announced he will remain the starter even if Jimmy Garoppolo is cleared to return, per Fox Sports' Jay Glazer.
The other NFC Divisional Round matchup will feature a rivalry showdown between the No. 6 New York Giants at the No. 1 Philadelphia Eagles.
The Giants surprised the No. 3 Minnesota Vikings with a 31-24 defeat on Sunday, with starting quarterback Daniel Jones coming up big in the most crucial game of his young career to date.
In the AFC, we already know the two divisional-round matchups: No. 4 Jacksonville Jaguars at No. 1 Kansas City Chiefs, and No. 3 Cincinnati Bengals at No. 2 Buffalo Bills.
If the Chiefs defeat the Jaguars and face either the Bengals or the Bills in the AFC Championship Game, it will be played at a neutral site per rules the league put in place after the Bills-Bengals game in Week 17 was canceled.
The Jaguars skirted by the Los Angeles Chargers 31-30 on Saturday. The Bolts squandered an astonishing 27-point lead and have some serious assessing to do this offseason to break down what went wrong in 2022-23.
On Sunday night, the Bengals and No. 6 Baltimore Ravens gave us a classic playoff clash, with the game coming down to the final Hail Mary from Tyler Huntley, which the Ravens failed to complete. Joe Burrow and his team take a 24-17 win into the divisional round.
Let's take a look at the full AFC and NFC playoff picture heading into Monday Night Football, as well as the schedule throughout the rest of the playoffs.
