Brazil vs. Switzerland: Top Storylines, Odds, Live Stream for World Cup 2022
Brazil will look to top Group G at the 2022 FIFA World Cup without its top superstar on the field.
Neymar suffered an ankle injury in the 2-0 win over Serbia on Thursday that will keep him out of the next two group-stage games.
Switzerland appears to be Brazil's main threat to the top spot after one matchday. The Swiss come into Monday's match inside Stadium 974 off a win over Cameroon.
Normally when a team loses a superstar, like Neymar, there would be concerns about where the team goes from that point.
The 2022 edition of Brazil is too deep in attack for that to be a worry. Richarlison is coming off a brace against Serbia and the Seleção still have Gabriel Jesus, Antony, Raphinha and Vinícius Júnior to call on in attack.
Switzerland carries some dangerous attackers of its own, including in-form striker Breel Embolo, and it will try to get a result off Brazil for the second straight World Cup. The two sides played to a 1-1 draw at the 2018 World Cup.

Brazil Will Be Comfortable Without Neymar
2 of 3
Brazil is maybe the only team in the world that could lose its best player and still feel confident about its chances to win a World Cup group.
Neymar will miss the next two group-stage games because of his ankle injury suffered against Serbia.
The confidence to win without Neymar stems from Richarlison's two-goal performance in the opener. The Everton forward has 10 goals in 2022 for the Seleção.
Richarlison's international form is a huge boost to Brazil, especially for the games against Switzerland and Cameroon.
Brazil then gets to add in a combination of Vinícius Júnior, Antony, Raphinha and Gabriel Jesus to the spots alongside Richarlison in the attack.
The attackers on the field for Brazil do not have an easy task against a Swiss defense that produced a clean sheet in the opening match against Cameroon.
The Swiss defense can be broken down, as we saw in the UEFA Nations League earlier this year. Switzerland allowed nine goals in six matches against Spain, Portugal and Czech Republic.
A victory powered by Richarlison and Co. would be huge for Brazil because then it would feel little pressure to advance going into the final group match against Cameroon. Brazil would have three more points than any team in Group G in that scenario.
Switzerland in Search of Another World Cup Result Against Brazil
3 of 3
Switzerland will not be intimidated by the task in front of it on Monday.
The Swiss played to a 1-1 draw against Brazil at the 2018 World Cup in Russia. They had to answer an early strike from Philippe Coutinho to earn a point from that match.
Switzerland produced a strong performance in its opener, as it shut out Cameroon and got a goal from its top in-form striker in Breel Embolo, who has thrived at Monaco in Ligue 1.
Embolo and Haris Seferovic are capable of causing fits to the Brazilian back line. Seferovic started the 2018 game versus Brazil and Embolo replaced him.
Switzerland also carries a wealth of experience in the midfield, with Granit Xhaka and Xherdan Shaqiri running the show. Both players could come up with moments of brilliance to score, create chances on set pieces, or set up the striker pairing.
The Swiss may not shut down the Brazilian attack, but it can contain and force shots from outside the penalty area to ease the pressure on Yann Sommer.
Sommer could be the difference-maker for the Swiss team, if Brazil ends up dominating the possession and chances.
Sommer is one of the best goalkeepers in the German Bundesliga, and his star performance of the season was a 19-save outing against Bayern Munich on August 27.
