Final Picks for Roman Reigns, Bloodline and WWE Survivor Series WarGames 2022 Card

Anthony MangoNov 26, 2022

For the first time, WWE Survivor Series 2022 will host two WarGames matches, which will surely leave many Superstars battered and bruised by the end of the night.

These double-cage matches are among the most vicious the company has to offer, and it will be harder than ever for the competitors to walk away victorious.

Someone has to win, though, so who will it be?

Let's analyze the current card and make some predictions for each match at Survivor Series WarGames.

SmackDown Women's Championship: Ronda Rousey vs. Shotzi

1 of 5

One of the downsides to this time of year is that someone like Ronda Rousey is not going to lose the SmackDown Women's Championship prior to WrestleMania 39, making all her title defenses up until April somewhat superfluous.

That goes double when she's up against someone such as Shotzi, who has spent nearly all her time on the main roster either out of action or being used as enhancement talent.

The former NXT star has plenty of skills to achieve more than she has, but WWE has never positioned her anywhere close to being ready to dethrone someone like Rousey, who is one of the most protected Superstars on the roster.

This is an easy win for The Baddest Woman on the Planet. Shotzi's going to give it her all, but she's there to be fed to the dominant champion.

Prediction: Rousey wins.

United States Championship: Seth Rollins vs. Austin Theory vs. Bobby Lashley

2 of 5

Unlike the SmackDown Women's Championship, the Triple Threat match for the United States title isn't a foregone conclusion.

Bobby Lashley can be counted out, though. He will most likely face Brock Lesnar in another rematch at WrestleMania, which won't involve the U.S. title.

Between Seth Rollins and Austin Theory, though, both options make sense.

The case for Rollins is that he's the guy WWE put the title on in the first place to get it off Lashley. There must have been a reason for that, and he's a big name to be a top titleholder on Raw, with Roman Reigns rarely appearing on Monday nights.

However, a win for Theory helps rehab some of the damage caused by his failed Money in the Bank cash-in attempt. It's not the same as winning a world title, but it's better than nothing, and proof that WWE isn't ready to ditch his push entirely.

Rollins stands a good chance at retaining, but if Theory loses again after all his claims that he's ready to reach a new level in his career, it will indicate he's stuck in the midcard. He stands to lose more by not winning the belt than Rollins does by not retaining.

Prediction: Theory wins.

AJ Styles vs. Finn Bálor

3 of 5

AJ Styles has been feuding with The Judgment Day for much of this year.

For it all to lead to just a singles match between The Phenomenal One and Finn Bálor is anticlimactic, particularly after The O.C. just evened the odds to offset Rhea Ripley's interference.

This angle has gone on far too long, though. It's well beyond time to wrap it up, even if the bow isn't pretty.

Styles needs to win this and move on to something else so he's not stuck heading into another WrestleMania having done nothing but run in circles for 12 months.

Prediction: Styles wins.

Women's WarGames Match: Team Bianca vs. Team Damage CTRL

4 of 5

WWE could have two different goals in the women's WarGames match.

If this is mostly about finishing Bianca Belair's feud with Damage CTRL, her team needs to be victorious. She's beaten Bayley, Dakota Kai and Iyo Sky on enough occasions and the rivalry needs to end.

However, there's a chance this is more about giving Rhea Ripley a significant bump into the No. 1 contender's spot instead.

She was meant to challenge Belair at Money in the Bank in July, but an injury put that on hold. Scoring the win for her team in WarGames is what got her a shot at Shayna Baszler's NXT Women's Championship, so a similar situation could echo into this event.

Since Ripley earned the advantage for the heel team on Monday's Raw, look for The EST of WWE to suffer a rare loss in this one.

Prediction: Team Damage CTRL win.

Men's WarGames Match: Bloodline vs. Drew McIntyre, Kevin Owens and Brawling Brutes

5 of 5

Opportunities for Roman Reigns to lose without looking weak or having his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship on the line are few and far between.

WWE should take advantage of that here by allowing Drew McIntyre, Kevin Owens and The Brawling Brutes to score the upset over The Bloodline.

The Tribal Chief won't be pinned or forced to tap out, though. It's likely either Jey Uso or Sami Zayn will take the fall, leading to more tension within the group.

That would open up someone like Owens or Sheamus to get a title shot against Reigns in the near future, possibly at the Royal Rumble in January.

A win for The Bloodline does nothing but reiterate their dominance, but a defeat will get people talking and end the PPV on a high note.

Prediction: McIntyre, Owens and The Brawling Brutes win.
