Will Josh McDaniels Replace Brian Schottenheimer for New York Jets?
There a longstanding tradition in football that it’s never too early to think about next season, and the New York Jets seem to be willing to uphold their end of this custom.
The Jets will be looking at St. Louis Rams offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels to replace Brian Schottenheimer despite the fact that Schottenheimer is signed through 2013, according to a tweet from the New York Post’s Bart Hubbuch.
There is speculation that Schottenheimer might get a head-coaching job, and the Jets want to have a fallback position if that happens.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
McDaniels is still under contract with the Rams, but he's had a tough first year as offensive coordinator in St. Louis.
He was hired to work with second-year quarterback Sam Bradford’s downfield game and to open up the Rams attack. But the Rams offense collapsed this year under the weight, it should be noted, of injuries not only to Bradford but to the Rams rushing and receiving corps and the offensive line, as well.
Even so, the Rams could go looking elsewhere, and if that’s the case the Jets would only be one suitor.
Another might be Kansas City. Chiefs general manager Scott Pioli worked with McDaniels while both were with New England.
