Predicting Wild Spots in WWE Survivor Series WarGames Matches amid Rumors
The addition of two WarGames matches to Survivor Series 2022 will bring further brutality to the pay-per-view on November 26. With some feuds brewing over recent months, the battles will be even more ferocious.
And according to Bryan Alvarez of Wrestling Observer Live, WWE is planning some notably big spots for the matches, if only to add new video footage to future montages for the event.
Anything can happen in WWE on a normal basis, let alone when two rings are surrounded by a massive steel cage.
Let's try to predict some of the ideas the company could be cooking up for impressive moments and major spots to look out for during these two matches.
A Wide Range of Weaponry
1 of 5The simplest and most versatile prediction is that WWE will go weapon-heavy with the two WarGames matches.
A standout moment of Team Ripley vs. Team Baszler from 2019 was Rhea Ripley tossing kendo sticks, trash cans and steel chairs into the ring as soon as she could. That visual alone illustrates how these truly are no-holds-barred affairs.
However, when you factor in all the other weapons available and the amount of times each can be used, it can add up quickly.
Footage of fire extinguishers going off, Sheamus bludgeoning opponents with his shillelagh, Superstars throwing each other into the steel cage and whatever else they may find can fill the majority of video content and match time.
The Usos' Splash from the Top
2 of 5
As far as the biggest moments go, those will almost always call for someone doing a maneuver off the top of the cage.
One of the go-to options should be The Usos hitting their double splash finisher after jumping from those great heights. If they're able to sync up correctly, Jimmy and Jey landing in unison will be a featured visual for years to come.
Even if they jump from the top rope as per usual, having the structure behind them will increase the wow factor of the move. A little camera trickery could make it look like even more explosive.
Bianca Belair Lands a KOD from the Top
3 of 5Bianca Belair has pulled off some amazing feats with her KOD finisher, such as getting Doudrop up for the move on several occasions or landing it on two opponents at the same time.
One thing she hasn't done, though, is hurl someone off the top rope or from the WarGames cage.
The latter is probably too dangerous to attempt, but it can't be counted out. The visual might be too good for all parties to pass up on at least thinking about it.
A KOD from new heights under any circumstances would be a definitive way to end this feud once and for all, with The EST of WWE standing tall over Damage CTRL while cementing her even more as the absolute top of the women's division.
Iyo Sky's Moonsault from the Top
4 of 5WWE isn't above doing the same spot more than once—or, if we're being honest, every time the opportunity presents itself—so repeats are well within the realm of possibility.
Iyo Sky's moonsaults are always beautiful, but when she launched herself off the top of the cage at NXT WarGames in 2019, it was arguably the most impressive leap of her career to date.
The Genius of the Sky would also jump from the top the cage in 2020, but that was a crossbody-type splash while inside a trash can.
What if WWE is looking to combine both, possibly with Sky doing a moonsault while holding a trash can, or trying to outdo Ricochet's double moonsault from WarGames in 2018?
The likelihood of Sky going the entire match without at least one death-defying jump is slim. That is her modus operandi and would give her a standout moment in the match.
White Noise from the Top Through a Table
5 of 5If Sheamus is going to contribute any high spots, it won't be with a 450 splash or Shooting Star Press. But he could pull off a White Noise from the top turnbuckle.
Having the cage for extra leverage would allow The Celtic Warrior and his opponent to get a better foothold, grasp the steel for balance and properly position themselves for a safer fall.
Bonus points to really seal the deal would be if this spot saw Sheamus crashing his opponent through a table, as fans perpetually love that hardware more than almost anything else in these types of matches.
This would also be an effective way to take someone from The Bloodline out of commission for the remainder of the match.
