WWE: Should Undertaker face Kane in his last Match?
Is this really a discussion we should be having? When talking about The Undertaker and his possible last match at WrestleMania, is there anyone else you can think of who should be headlining this epic event other than the man who is forever linked to him: Kane?
I never thought this was a question. I mean, The Undertaker is one of the greatest wrestlers of all-time and his gimmick is, in my opinion, the best of all-time.
Better than The Rock. Better than Steve Austin. Better than Goldust. And better than “Nature Boy” Ric Flair.

There is all this discussion about “others” meeting the “Dead Man” at WrestleMania 28.
First, Undertaker, who has been healing from injuries all year, needs to come back to WrestleMania in the first place. Second, there needs to be some heat as to how you would “sell” this match (like you “really” need a hook with this angle). Third, it needs to be done in such a way that Undertaker wins, and leaves the business much in the same way as Andre the Giant at the end of his career.
But I never thought there was anyone else who would be involved in this history-making event.
So much is made by the IWC, you fans here on Bleacher Report and fans in the WWE Universe. Let’s just put an end to it now. Kane should be the final opponent.
Everything comes full circle with Kane. The battles, the brotherhood, the championships, the greed and the raw emotion each of these athletes draws out of each other. Like two heavyweight prizefighters, Ali and Frazier, Joe Lewis and Ali or maybe better yet, something we all can identify with: The Rock vs. Austin.
Wrestling is a business where athletes need each other and to be pushed to be better. The Rock needed Austin. Shawn Michaels needed Triple H. Ric Flair needed Dusty Rhodes and Harley Race. John Cena needs CM Punk.
It is all cyclical. But when push came to shove, The Undertaker needed Kane to ascend to the top of the mountain. No other wrestler can compare to Undertaker, know his moves, know the history and live in the moment.
When Kane appeared in 1997, a true feud, rivalry and bond formed that has been the standard bearer of this company. No other storyline is as compelling and Kane’s gimmick has recently been reinvented to seek the “hate” in John Cena and others. It is only fitting these two “giants” meet in what could the best and final chapter in The Undertaker’s storied career.
While there are others who are being counted on to “lead the charge” or become the future of this company, Undertaker will always be the “franchise” and the best way to honor him is to have him face the one man who has helped his legend grow more so than anyone.
