MLB/TNA News: Ric Flair Invades Fenway; Presents TNA Title to Dustin Pedroia
According to tps.com, this past Tuesday night; "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair made an appearance at the home of the Boston Red Sox, Fenway Park.
The self-proclaimed "God" of wrestling came out to throw the first pitch and announce that evenings lineup.
However, he also made sure to stop by the Red Sox clubhouse and pay a visit to Dustin Pedroia.
Turns out, Pedroia is not only a huge wrestling fan, he is also a huge fan of Flair.
Flair's stop was anything but ordinary as he not only fulfilled Pedroia's boyhood dream, he also presented the second baseman with a replica of TNA's world title.
This is pretty huge for the company, as Flair has officially given TNA more press in this one visit than his higher billed counterpart Hulk Hogan.
Since Hogan's arrival a year and a half ago, he has successfully promoted everything under the sun accept the company he works for.
I realize Hogan's contract allows him to be involved in other projects, but he should throw TNA a bone at some point. Many people, including myself, felt Hogan was better for TNA than Flair, especially after Flair's issues.
However, I currently don't think you have a better ambassador for the company than Flair. Let's hope he keeps this up and TNA will start getting good press again. As their No. 2 spot is in serious jeopardy.
