NBA Trade Rumors: Phoenix Suns and the Boston Celtics' Last-Minute Trade

Most trade talks have been about Amar’e Stoudemire to the Cleveland Cavaliers or to the Miami Heat. After Amar’es name, came Tracy McGrady and Ray Allen, send them each… well, to almost any team teams.

One of the Suns requests were to have Jason Richardson included in any deal, so why not have a deal between the Suns and the Celtic’s?

The Suns can send Jason Richardson and Leandro Barbosa to the Celtics for Ray Allen and his $18 million ending contract.

Why will this work?

J-Rich would be a perfect fit to the Celtics. They already have the all-stars they need, they need a player that can shoot and take the ball to hoop.

The Celtics don’t need a player that demands the ball, they need a player that would work with the team, and J-Rich is perfect for that.

Barbosa is a great player to have on the bench, he’s an amazing shooter and can help give Rajon Rondo some time to rest.

For the Suns Ray Allen would be perfect, he would fit perfect playing with Steve Nash and Stoudemire, he’s a player that needs full attention from the defense and if he gets the second to shoot then it usually goes in, and with player like Jared Dudley, Goran Dragic, Channing Frye, Stoudemire, and Nash, you won’t be able to leave any player open on the court.

J-Rich has not been consistent at all this season, when he has been scoring less the 20, the team has been losing, and when he scores more they win.

It looks like the Suns may not trade Stoudemire so at least try to make a good run this year and next (and save money next season).

This trade will also make Robert Sarver happy, Ray Allen’s contract end this season so it will give him space to sign a young SG or just save money like he like to do.

Steve Kerr, THINK ABOUT IT.
