Evgeni Malkin registered two goals and two assists, propelling the Pittsburgh Penguins to a 5-0 mashing of the New York Rangers in Game 4 of the first-round Eastern Conference matchup.

Pittsburgh took a 3-1 advantage in the series thanks to Matt Murray notching 31 saves and recording his first career playoff shutout.

Eric Fehr the Penguins a 1-0 lead just 69 seconds into the game, then Patric Hornqvist and Conor Sheary also found the net during the first period. Malkin provided the next two tallies, the first of which chased Henrik Lundqvist after allowing four goals on 18 shots.

New York failed to score on three power-play opportunities, while Pittsburgh connected on 3-of-6 chances with a man advantage.
