The NFL suspended Carolina Panthers defensive end Wes Horton four games Monday for a violation of the league's performance-enhancing drugs policy, per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Horton has appeared in eight games this season, making two starts. He has one sack and seven combined tackles through Week 11.

ESPN.com's David Newton reported Monday that Charles Johnson is in line to be activated from injured reserve for Carolina's Thanksgiving Day game against the Dallas Cowboys at AT&T Stadium.
Considering Horton was already on the chopping block, the fact he'll miss four of the Panthers' six remaining regular-season games may be the final nail in the coffin for his time in Charlotte.
