Latest on Luck's Practice Status Ahead of Week 6

Thursday, Oct. 15 

Luck threw in front of the media for a second consecutive day, per Zak Keefer of the Indianapolis Star, who called it "a good sign."

Kevin Bowen of the team's official site announced Luck was listed as a limited participant on the injury report.

After Wednesday's session, Pagano said Luck was limited in practice, via Keefer. Pagano's comments differ from what Conrad Brunner of 1070 the Fan relayed, saying Luck was a full participant in practice, adding he "made all throws in drills."

Pagano previously said Luck worked unrestricted Monday, via Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

Luck, Pagano Comment on QB's Recovery 

Thursday, Oct. 8

When asked if he would miss the team's Sunday Night Football matchup against the New England Patriots, Luck said: "Hope not, really hope not," per Keefer.

"He's really, really close," Pagano said on Oct. 8 after the team's Week 5 win, per Stephen Holder of the Indianapolis Star.

"I think I've gotten better every day," Luck said on Oct. 6, via Keefer. "I don't think I'm necessarily where I'd want to be today in a perfect, perfect world."

According to George Bremer of the Herald Bulletin on Sept. 30, Luck said his shoulder "didn't feel as good as I'd like it after [Week 3]. Day to day." He also stated he expected to play in Week 4 before ultimately being ruled inactive.

He added at the time that the injury is "not that big of a deal," noting it happened during the Titans game, per Steve Andress of Colts.com.

Luck is dealing with a "subluxation of his right shoulder," according to Chris Hagan of Fox 59 on Oct. 5.

"Doctors are concerned about Luck's labrum, which is hard to read from the MRI with this type of injury," Hagan also reported that day. "The biggest concerns about Luck at the moment are pain and arm strength."

Hasselbeck is Formidable Backup For Luck Under Center

Hasselbeck started in Week 4 for the first time since 2012, when he threw for 1,367 yards, seven touchdowns and five interceptions in eight games.

Hasselbeck completed 30 of his 47 pass attempts for 282 yards and one touchdown against Jacksonville. He added to that with 213 yards and two touchdowns in Week 5 vs. the Texans.

While he may seem like an iffy backup option, Hasselbeck has been nothing short of excellent in his cameo as the Colts starter.

Ever since the franchise selected him first overall in the 2012 draft, Luck has been tabbed for greatness, and the transition from Peyton Manning to the former Stanford Cardinal star was almost too perfect.

Last year, Luck truly emerged as one of the best quarterbacks in the league, throwing for 4,761 yards, 40 touchdowns and 16 interceptions.

It goes without saying just how important he is to the Colts' fortunes in 2015. Remember the last time Indianapolis lost its starting quarterback for a long stretch of games?

Luck hasn't quite reached the level of Manning circa 2011 just yet, but he's on his way.
