Korean Newspaper Runs Headline Proclaiming Chicago Bears Stanley Cup Champs
Let's start with this: The fact that a Korean newspaper opted to cater to English-speaking citizens is impressive.
The Korea Timesย could have said, "Nope. We're sticking to our thing," and avoided all the headaches of having to run stories about sports happenings from halfway around the world.
But theย Korea Timesย chose to shoot for the stars and, in doing so, congratulated the Chicago Bears on a Stanley Cup triumph this week. Twitter user Vinny Oz dug up an image posted on Reddit of the paper's Wednesday sports section.

The Bears are Stanley Cup champs, guys.
In fairness to the paper, the text of the story mentions the Blackhawks and is accurate. Also, if anyone asks you who is winning/has won any sporting event, the proper response isย "the Bears."ย
I'd also like to thank theย Korea Timesย for putting the image of Jay Cutler hoisting Lord Stanley's Cup into my mind's eye. I imagine him using at as an ashtray while binge-watchingย Game of Thrones aloneย on the couch.
Dan is onย Twitter. Go Chicago Bearhawks.
