Giordano Suffers Undisclosed Injury
Wednesday, Feb. 25
Giordano left the ice during the third period of Wednesday's 3-1 victory over the New Jersey Devils with an undisclosed injury.
Roger Millions of Sportsnet Calgary provided an update on Giordano following the game:
Although the Flames managed to sneak back into the playoff picture thanks to Wednesday's win in Newark, per The Calgary Sun's Randy Sportak, they would have preferred to have the 31-year-old Giordano in the lineup down the stretch. That won't happen now.
Giordano is a dynamic two-way player on the blue line, evident in his defensive prowess and his capability to attack on offense. He entered Wednesday second on Calgary's club in points, so it will hurt losing Giordano for the year.
