As a way to inspire the team, "All For One. One For All" is written in a box at the bottom. It is upside-down so players are able to read the message.
Cavaliers Chief Marketing Officer Tracy Marek explained to NBA.com why the team added a new alternate uniform for the upcoming season:
"With so much excitement and positive momentum going into this season, this special time called for a brand-new uniform to match the energy and mojo of the 2014-15 team. Our special thanks to the NBA and adidas for working with us to ensure these unique navy uniforms will be ready for opening night.
"
Cleveland's new court also has a navy border.
The Cavaliers will use this navy uniform, along with existing gold jerseys, as an alternate look throughout the season.
