Too Early To Post a Grade For The Mavericks Draft Picks?

I was talking to a few Dads at my sons Football practice Sunday evening, and everyone was giving the Dallas Mavericks a Pre-Season  Eulogy. No Shaq, No LeBron James, No Dwyane Wade, No Chris Bosh...No Playoffs!

No General Manager, No Lottery Pick, No Center, No Trade, No Playoffs!

Are their feelings premature?

Are we being fair to the Dallas Maverick Organization?

The fact that we got two point guards is overshadowed by the notion that our Division Rivals all got better and we almost did nothing.

I was pleased with the B.J. Mullins trade. Yes he has potential, but we need immediate help in the post, and I don't think he is better than Ryan Hollins.

Both young point guards are better than us not having anyone but Jason Kidd and JJ Barea for 82 games.

Very few Locals believe that Mark Cuban knows what he is doing right now.

It feels like he is distracted by recent legal issues and a never ending feud with The David Stern Mafioso Family?

Some of the dads felt like we need a New owner for us to ever get a fair chance to compete for a Title?

Some feel we just need a Better General Manager. Is Donnie Nelson that guy?

Will Rick Carlisle be a difference maker this year after a Full season with HIS type of Players?

I was pleased that we advanced pass the San Antonio Spurs this post season, but they just improved their roster and appear to have potentially passed us again in the early posturing for Division Title favorites.

The Houston Rockets improved again, and will get Tracy McGrady back on a team that was already in contention without him?

I just don't have much to say about this Draft in regards to my Dallas Mavericks.

It appears that I must Pray for Mark Cuban, and Donnie Nelson in the Hope  that they have a Plan that will work much better than we can predict.

Please tell me ANYTHING positive that you saw in regards to the Dallas Mavericks Draft Decisions in 2009...I'm listening.
