Mike Modano Marries Professional Golfer Allison Micheletti
Former NHL star Mike Modano has largely been out of the spotlight since retiring following the 2010-11 season, but he may have figuratively scored the biggest goal of his life on Sunday as he married professional golfer Allison Micheletti, according to Sam Gardner of FOXSports.com.
The 43-year-old Modano is unquestionably a future Hall of Famer, and he is arguably the greatest American-born hockey player of all time, as he set records in goals, points, playoff points and games played by an American-born player during his 21 seasons with the Minnesota North Stars, Dallas Stars and Detroit Red Wings.
The 25-year-old Micheletti is linked to the hockey world through her father, Joe, who played for the Calgary Cowboys and Edmonton Oilers of the WHA, as well as the NHL's St. Louis Blues and Colorado Rockies. He is now a color analyst for the New York Rangers.

Allison has a long way to go before she can match the athletic prowess of her new husband, as she is fairly new to the game of golf as a professional. Micheletti was a contestant on the Golf Channel reality show Big Break Atlantis, on which she finished in seventh place.
According to Sporting News, the ceremony took place took place at Hotel Joule in Dallas, and it appears as though it was an extravagant affair as seen in these photos courtesy of wedding attendee Kate Norris.
This isn't Modano's first shot at marriage, as he and actress Willa Ford got divorced last year after nearly five years together, according DallasNews.com.
Luckily for Modano and Micheletti, though, married life already seems to be treating them well.
Hopefully this match made in sports heaven is built to last.
