AFC Pro Bowl Roster 2013: Complete Selections for NFL's American Conference
The 2013 Pro Bowl Rosters have been released, and the AFC squad is packed full of stars. While the Pro Bowl itself fails to draw a significant amount of attention—despite the NFL’s best efforts—it is an honor for each player named to the roster.
The two top players in this year’s fan voting (via NFL.com) are both AFC quarterbacks. NFL fans saw Peyton Manning and Tom Brady as the two players most deserving of a trip to Hawaii this year.
But Manning beat out Brady for the starting quarterback spot, settling the biggest debate surrounding the Pro Bowl.

Cardinals May Be Bluffing Pick
Manning has the 12-3 Denver Broncos in the midst of a 10-game winning streak and he has put up MVP-worthy numbers. He has completed 68.1 percent of his passes for 4,355 yards, 34 touchdowns and 11 interceptions.
Brady, however, has similar statistics and his team is 11-4. The New England Patriots star has a completion percentage of 63.1 and has thrown for 4,543 yards, 32 touchdowns and eight interceptions.
Houston Texans stars Arian Foster and Andre Johnson round out the starting squad for the AFC. The Texans currently have the top seed in the conference, and both players rank in the top-five in yards gained for players at their respective positions.
Cincinnati Bengals playmaker A.J. Green unsurprisingly received the other starting wide receiver spot. There has been no sophomore slump for the talented wideout, as he has 1,324 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns.
On the other side of the ball, Houston defensive end J.J. Watt headlines the conference’s roster. He has had a remarkable campaign and is a serious candidate to win the Defensive Player of the Year award after recording 20.5 sacks, four forced fumbled and 15 passes defended.
