The Chicken Hypes Forbidden Door

Briscoe hyped the 12-man cage match set for this weekend. He talked about how his team is prepared for this kind of battle because they have been to war before.

As Don Callis came out to distract him, MJF attacked him from behind. Briscoe was about to take control and hit the Jay Driller when Kyle Fletcher showed up and took him out with a brainbuster.

Takeshita came back out and took out his former friend, which led to Okada showing up to hit the Rainmaker. Everyone from the match arrived to take out the man who came out before him in a sequence that was fun but very contrived.

It all ended with Andrade El Idolo coming out last to prevent Briscoe from taking out MJF. Andrade and MJF got into an argument, but Callis got them to work together.

Briscoe caused MJF to hit Andrade before nailing him with the Jay Driller. The show ended with Team Briscoe standing tall.

Takeshita vs. Ricochet Part 2

Ricochet had control through the break, but when we returned, Takeshita began to fight back a bit. He missed a big move and tumbled over the top rope to the floor, allowing Ricochet to regain his position.

When the champion finally started to get some traction, he hit a Blue Thunder Bomb for a two-count.

Takeshita fired himself back up and started unloading on the challenger. Ricochet fired back with some kicks, but it wasn't enough to stop Takeshita.

Ricochet backflipped right into position to hit his Vertigo finisher, but he only got a two-count. He drilled Big Take with a knee and climbed to the top rope for a shooting star press.

The international champion recovered and began to build up a head of steam. He hit a powerbomb for a two-count, but Ricochet used the ref as a shield so he could regain control.

Takeshita hit a huge clothesline, followed by a running knee to the face. He finished off Ricochet with the Raging Fire to retain his title.

WINNER: KONOSUKE TAKESHITA

As Takeshita was celebrating, Mark Briscoe's music hit. He came out with a mic and high-fived Takeshita on his way to the ring.

Konosuke Takeshita vs. Ricochet Part 1

This week's main event saw Takeshita put his international title on the line against Ricochet. Renee Paquette gave a quick intro from ringside as the champion made his entrance.

Ricochet rushed the champ and hit a kick as soon as the bell rang. He stayed on him with a couple of moonsaults and a springboard 450, but Takeshita kicked out at two.

The challenger stayed aggressive and kept the upper hand as the show went into its final break.

Commercial Break

The Dogs of War

The Young Bucks gave an interview backstage. They said they would win their match at Forbidden Door and reclaim their spot at the top of the tag team division.

Cope and Cage fought The Dogs right through the interview into a different backstage area, but they took a moment to stop and talk to the Bucks.

David Finlay sprayed them in the eyes with some hair products before they grabbed some wires to choke out the tag team champions.

Velvet vs. Aminata Part 2

We returned to see Velvet hit a wheelbarrow bulldog for a quick two-count. She looked angry that she couldn't put her opponent away.

The Queen hit a slingshot suplex that kicked off a sequence of offensive maneuvers. She hit a huge running kick in the corner and a double stomp for a two-count.

Velvet used a very unique move to take Aminata off the top rope, and she followed up with a frog splash that still couldn't get her the pin.

The Queen recovered and ended up getting the win to advance to the Survival of the Fittest match set for next week.

WINNER: QUEEN AMINATA

Red Velvet vs. Queen Aminata Part 1

The ROH TV champion was in action in a Survival of the Fittest qualifier when Red Velvet took on Queen Aminata.

They locked up and Aminata applied a wristlock. She had control for a moment, but Velvet quickly began fighting back.

Aminata regained control and hit a snap suplex, but a lazy cover only got her a one-count. Both women avoided some strikes from each other before coming to a stalemate.

Commercial Break

The Young Bucks vs. TMDK

Nick and Matt Jackson took on Bad Dude Tito and Mikey Nicholls. The match immediately turned into mayhem as all four men started fighting.

The Bucks sent them out of the ring and hit a double dive over the top rope to take them down again. They had control until Tito and Nicholls countered a top rope attack.

Nicholls hit a nice spinebuster for a near-fall. Nick tagged in and started building momentum as Matt recovered on the apron.

The Bucks hit a series of superkicks to both opponents before finishing Nicholls off with the Meltzer Driver.

WINNERS: THE YOUNG BUCKS

Sabre, Nicholls and Tito attacked the Bucks after the match was over, which led to Kenny Omega making the save with Perry, whose arm was wrapped up.

Sabre narrowly avoided a V-Trigger as the fight ended.

Perry vs. ZSJ Part 2

We returned to see Sabre working on Perry's arm. He ended up locking Perry in an armbar at ringside, but the ref forced him to make a break so they could get the match back in the ring.

Jack started making a comeback and hit Sliced Bread No. 1 on the apron, followed by a big moonsault from the middle rope to the floor.

When they got back in the ring, ZSJ applied a modified octopus stretch that he turned into a triangle choke. Jungle Jack managed to break the hold by lifting and slamming him for a two-count.

Perry was able to get him locked in the Snare Trap, but ZSJ was able to counter out of it. Jack hit a clothesline followed by a double underhook powerbomb, but he still couldn't get the win.

Sabre tied Perry up in a submission that eventually forced him to tap out.

WINNER: ZACK SABRE JR.

TMDK didn't need to leave the ring because their match against The Young Bucks was up next.

Jack Perry vs. Zack Sabre. Jr. Part 1

MJF and The Don Callis Family had a backstage segment before Jack Perry made his way to the ring to take on Sabre. ZSJ had some other members of TMDK with him for support.

Sabre took Perry down and showed off his grappling skills by rolling around with him a bit. Perry looked like he was caught a little off guard, so he took a moment to reset before engaging again.

ZSJ took control again with a few arm submissions, so Perry resorted to biting the rope to force a break. Jack tried a couple of quick pinning combinations, but he couldn't keep Sabre down for the three-count.

When they took the fight out of the ring, Perry ran him into the ring post to take control.

Commercial Break

Strickland vs. Garcia Part 2

We returned to see Garcia avoid a Swerve stomp on the apron. He went back to Strickland's leg with another dragon screw, but when he went for a piledriver, Swerve countered into a Death Valley driver.

Swerve talked a lot of trash as Garcia struggled to get back to his feet. He made sure he knew the Death Riders couldn't help him now.

Garcia tried to take him down with a couple of clotheslines, but Swerve didn't budge, so he hit a dropkick to the knee he had previously attacked instead.

When Swerve went for the House Call, his leg gave out. Garcia hit a Styles Clash, but only got a two-count. Strickland avoided the Dragontamer and lined up to hit the House Call successfully.

Somehow, Garcia kicked out at two. Strickland decided to use Ospreay's move and finished him off with a Hidden Blade for the win.

WINNER: SWERVE STRICKLAND

Swerve started attacking Garcia after the match was over, but Ospreay made the save and started brawling with him.

Prince Nana tripped Will and allowed Swerve to hit the House Call. Garcia saved Ospreay from taking the Vertabreaker, but Garcia ended up taking it instead. Ospreay chased Strickland away with a chair.

Swerve Strickland vs. Daniel Garcia Part 1

Garcia made his way from outside the arena to the ring for his entrance. He looked like he meant business as he got right in Swerve's face.

He went for a single-leg takedown, but Strickland outwrestled him and applied a headlock. Garcia got right back to his feet and kept talking trash, which only made Swerve angrier.

He took Garcia down and beat on him before whipping him into the corner with authority. Once he was firmly in control, he started punishing Danny by choking him against the middle rope.

Garcia pulled Swerve off the apron and trapped one of his legs in the apron so he could hit a dragon screw leg whip. He hit a couple of running kicks before Strickland leveled him with his own kick to the head.

Commercial Break

Ospreay vs. ELP Part 2

We returned to see ELP in control, but Ospreay began to make his comeback with a jumping kick to the head. ELP countered the stundog millionaire and hit a stunner of his own.

Billy Goat started taking shots from ELP and asking for more. When he finally struck back, he leveled his opponent with one huge forearm.

Both men hit each other with some of their best shots and kept going. They had a great fast-paced sequence of counters that ended with Ospreay hitting a Spanish Fly for a near-fall.

Ospreay picked up the win with the Hidden Blade to end a fantastic match. He showed ELP some respect with a fist bump before leaving the ring.

WINNER: WILL OSPREAY

As Ospreay was celebrating with fans at ringside, Swerve Strickland and Prince Nana came out for Swerve's match against Garcia.

Will Ospreay vs. ELP Part 1

El Phantasmo made his way over from NJPW to take on Will Ospreay ahead of this year's Forbidden Door PPV.

They started with a basic exchange of wristlocks and reversals. These two have fought many times over the years, and you could see how well they knew each other by how they fought.

Ospeary hit the first strike with a stiff chest chop. ELP took him down with a hurricanrana, but Ospreay popped right back up and knocked him out of the ring with a dropkick.

ELP took him down with a moonsault from the top rope to the floor as the show cut to a break.

Commercial Break

Shafir vs. Cameron Part 2

We returned from the break to see Marina still dominating the action. She took Cameron down with a series of quick takedowns.

Harley started to build up a head of steam as she unloaded on Shafir in the corner. She put Shafir back in the one-leg crab, but Shafir turned it into a sleeper.

Cameron rolled back into a pin and got what many would call an upset victory.

WINNER: HARLEY CAMERON

After the match, the announcers threw to a video hyping the Owen Hart Tournament.

Marina Shafir vs. Harley Cameron Part 1

Marina stayed at ringside after the Death Riders' victory so she could take on Harley Cameron in the next match. Harley was wearing gear inspired by Supergirl.

Shafir attacked her as she was getting into the ring to gain the upper hand right away. Harley tried to fight back, but Marina easily took her down.

Cameron managed to get her into a single-leg crab, but it didn't last long. Harley hit a dropkick through the ropes followed by a crossbody from the steel steps.

Commercial Break

Death Riders vs. Brodido and Mistico Part 2

We returned from the break to see the Death Riders teaming up on Bandido in their corner, but Moxley was unable to keep him down for the pin.

Bandido made the hot tag to Mistico, and the masked man started taking on Yuta and Claudio with a flurry of quick maneuvers. He would have won if Mox hadn't saved Claudio from a pin.

King tagged in and took over for the high-flyers with some of his trademark hard-hitting offense. While Marina had the ref distracted, Mox hit Bandido with his title belt to get a dirty victory.

WINNERS: THE DEATH RIDERS

Team Briscoe was backstage for an interview with Renee Paquette.

The Death Riders vs. Mistico and Brodido Part 1

Brody King, Bandido and Mistico teamed up to take on Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler Yuta in the opening bout.

Bandido and Yoots kicked off the action with a basic lockup that led to a sequence of holds and counters. The ROH champion and former Pure champion had a very nice exchange before Yuta tagged out to Mox.

They kept it technical at first, but one shove from Moxley turned it into a brawl. He cornered Bandido so he and the Death Riders could team up on him. Even Marina Shafir got in on the fun while the ref was distracted.

Bandido was able to tag in Mistico, who took the fight to Claudio before being caught and hit with a backbreaker. When King tagged in, he went right after Castagnoli.

They traded big right hands until Yuta and Mox came in to give Claudio an advantage. King ended up grabbing Moxley and Claudio and somehow jumping up to the top rope for a double arm drag that had the crowd on its feet.

Commercial Break

We Are Live!

Dynamite opened with a shot of The Death Riders backstage as Jon Moxley gave them a pep talk. Will Ospreay was hesitant to join the group at first. There was a funny moment when he fell down and he shared a laugh with Daniel Garcia.
