WWE Analysis: Why the Continuous Burial of Jack Swagger Is Ridiculous
Yes, I know at this point in time, people couldn't care less.
I realize that in the shadow of Kane's return with his mask, CM Punk's skyrocketing popularity since the Summer and Chris Jericho's impending return, who really cares about the All-American American?
I guess I'm one of the only people that does. And I'm a little bit tired of it.

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
Swagger debuted in the company for the ECW brand in 2008. Quickly upon his arrival, he started an undefeated streak that would carry on for several months until he would finally five months after his debut.
He was "built-up" as a force, as he quickly ran through the upper tier of ECW's roster, defeating Tommy Dreamer in his first feud in the company, defeating Matt Hardy for the ECW Title in January of 2009 on an episode of 'ECW', before defeating him one more time to end the feud at the Royal Rumble. He would also go on to defeat Finlay for the title at No Way Out.
After feuding with the newly returned Christian, Swagger was drafted to the Raw Brand in June of 2009.
Let's be honest here, since that point in time, the booking of Swagger has been underwhelming to say the least.
After coming up on the losing end to MVP in the summer months of 2009, and losing out on his quest to win the United States Championship, Swagger would go on to do very little until winning Money in the Bank at WrestleMania XXVI.
Hell, in fact, Swagger didn't even appear in a match (not including the Rumble itself) from TLC until Elimination Chamber.
I think we are all aware of what happened after that.
Swagger became World Champion, a two-time World Champion actually, in one of the worst World title reigns in recent memory.
Swagger can best be described as a "poor man's Kurt Angle."
Jack has an amateur wrestling background like Angle, is one of the best pure wrestlers in the business, can play the cocky heel to perfection despite his lisp and just has that natural heel look and charisma that is hard to find.
Yet, this guy can't win a match.
And I'm not exaggerating. You'd really be hard-pressed to find many Swagger victories in 2011.
He's 2-6 on pay-per-views this year. One of those victories was in a tag team match with Michael Cole against announcers Jerry Lawler and Jim Ross. The other victory came at Survivor Series in a 5-on-5 elimination match that saw him as one of the first eliminations.
Remember when he recently lost to Santino Marella?
I rest my case.
Swagger should be utilized as a lower-tier main eventer who can be seen as a legit threat to the main eventers and the World Title at any point in time.
Instead, he's built up to be the least credible former World Champion since David Arquette.
If you're going to make a guy a two-time World Champion, do it with the intention of doing so to build him up as a main event threat for the rest of his career.
Don't give him the title with the intention of making him look like a total joke.
You just end up making your "superstar" and your title look absolutely worthless.
