Texas A&M vs. N'western: Live Score, Highlights, and Analysis for the Texas Bowl
Texas A&M 33 Northwestern 22 Final
This New Year's Eve, the Texas A&M Aggies (6-6) face off against the Northwestern Wildcats (6-6) at the Texas Bowl in Houston, Texas.
The Texas A&M-Northwestern game marks one of the signature postseason matchups of the year as the disappointing Aggies and surprising Wildcats line up to close out this season.
Both teams bring powerful weapons to the gridiron. Texas A&M's Ryan Tannehill has looked pro all season against top notch defenses, falling short in games do to simple mistakes, crucial miscalculations, and coaching errors. Northwestern's offense, however, is quite potent themselves as an experienced QB in Dan Persa leads the Wildcats into his final bowl game.
A&M's passing game will be led by wide receiver Ryan Swope, one of the most talented targets in the South. Nothing seems capable of slowing down this high-octane monster.
Northwestern has also gotten some great production out of senior WR Jeremy Ebert. Really taking hold of his responsibility as a leader on this young squad, Ebert produced with over a thousand yards receiving with 11 TDs.
This game will feature two top-notch college squads, both vying for national respect. Texas A&M fired their former head coach Mike Sherman just after their regular season finale loss, and while he has been replaced new head coach Kevin Sumlin, former defensive coordinator Tim DeRuyter will lead the Aggies in the Texas Bowl.
Persa and the Wildcats are going into the game after winning four of their last five. Keeping that momentum alive will be a challenge for these coaches from Illinios. The Aggies, on the other hand, are looking for new life after just winning one of their last five.
Two unstoppable forces meet tomorrow afternoon. Get ready to see who shows who up in one of best postseason games of the year.
