NFL Playoffs: Aaron Rodgers and Best Candidates for Super Bowl MVP
The NFL regular season may not be over with just yet, but that doesn't mean we don't have a good idea as to which teams are in prime position for a run at the Super Bowl. Of course, this also means it's time to speculate who has a strong shot at being crowned the Super Bowl MVP.
We've seen outstanding individual performances all season long, but the playoffs is when the star players are needed the most.
Some live up to the expectations, but others fail big-time. The postseason is the moment of truth for a number of players, and the best of the best will truly shine.

With that said, here are the top candidates for Super Bowl MVP.
The Green Bay Packers quarterback should easily win the regular season MVP, and if he continues to play at a high level, he'll reach the Super Bowl with no problem.
Rodgers is on fire this year, with a touchdown interception ratio of 40:6, plus he leads the NFL with a passer rating of 120. The next closest is at 109, which goes to show how dominant Rodgers has been this season.
As the reigning Super Bowl MVP, Rodgers definitely has what it takes to get back and win it all over again.
The New England Patriots should end up with the best record in the AFC, meaning the road to the Super Bowl will go through Foxborough.
While the Patriots have struggled in the postseason in recent years (haven't won a playoff game since 2007), this year will be different.
Brady knows his defense is less than stellar, which means he'll elevate his game to ensure the Patriots make it to the Super Bowl.
As the leader of the team, Brady will do it takes to win. He longs for the taste of playoff success again, and he'll get this year.
The NFL is a quarterback-driven league, and Brees has been shredding opposing defenses all season long.
He's just 304 yards away from Dan Marion's single season passing record, and since he's thrown for over 300 yards for five consecutive games, don't be surprised if he breaks it on Monday night against the Atlanta Falcons.
Brees is playing out of his mind right now, and that will continue in the playoffs.
He'll likely meet Rodgers in the NFC Championship game, and if he's able to win (he almost did earlier this year) expect him to put up amazing stats not just in the Super Bowl but all postseason long.
