Lindsey Vonn: 2018 Olympics Would Be Perfect End to Skiing Legend's Career

Kyle VassaloDec 18, 2011

Not many sports give athletes an opportunity to speak about where they see themselves six years from now, but skiing sensation Lindsey Vonn contends that she sees the 2018 Olympics as a logical ending point to her spectacular career, according to the AP via ESPN.

Skiing isn't the only venture in the 27-year-old's sights. Vonn has aspirations of getting on the big screen and settling down.

As fun as it is to watch Vonn tear up the slopes, her skiing career won't last forever.

She's going to be 33 when the 2018 Olympics roll around and it's perfectly understandable that she wants to take on a different challenge and transition to the next phase of her life.

Vonn has won the gold in the Olympics before. She's beasted on the slopes and she's showing no signs of slowing down in the near future.

The 2018 Olympics would be the perfect ending to her career. At 33, she'll likely have the physical means to shine and bring America even more hardware and will be able to go out on top.

Vonn isn't a one trick pony though. Far too often we see athletes fail to dive into different endeavors once their time in their sport is up.

The 2018 Olympics will allow her to end this chapter of her life the right way, but don't expect Vonn to disappear once she hangs up her skiis for good.
