Fantasy Football Week 15: 3 Bold Predictions for Sunday's Games
Need a huge game from one of your fantasy starters to get grab that title and year-long bragging rights?
A few players will explode on Sunday.
Conversely, there are a few typically sure-fire guys that could struggle in Week 15's action.
I'm no football physic, but I've got these bold predictions for this weekend.
Take 'em or leave 'em.
Drew Brees Will Throw for 400-Plus with Four Touchdowns Against Vikings
1 of 3You may not exactly call this prediction "bold" but over 400 yards passing with four touchdowns is no easy task—I don't care if you're Drew Brees or Blaine Gabbert.
OK, maybe for Brees it's a little easier.
Seriously though, this is a perfect storm for the Saints' precise-as-a-surgeon signal-caller.
First, he's in a dome; we know what he can do on an indoor turf.
He's on a ridiculous tear; Brees has at least 322 yards in the last four games and has 11 touchdowns and no interceptions over that span.
The guy is facing a Vikings secondary that made Tim Tebow look like, well, Drew Brees, just two weeks ago.
Lastly, he won't stop slinging all over the Metrodome when New Orleans gets a huge lead. He's really trying to set the single-season passing yards record.
Roy Helu Will Have 130-Plus Yards of Total Offense Against Giants
2 of 3Who has three straight 100-yard rushing performances while averaging 29 touches over that stretch?
Not Ray Rice.
Not Arian Foster.
Roy Helu of the Washington Redskins.
He faces a surprisingly susceptible New York Giants defense that certainly has a intimidating pass rush but struggles against the run.
Did you know they're allowing 128 yards on the ground per game, which ranks them 22nd in the NFL?
Even if Helu is somewhat limited on the ground, he'll be a fixture in the check-down and screen game.
Just another productive, multifaceted runner selected after the first two rounds of the draft.
Arian Foster Will Have Fewer Than 100 Yards Rushing Against Carolina
3 of 3Easily the boldest of my predictions.
The Panthers have struggled mightily against the run this season, but actually have showed more strength against good running backs over the past two weeks.
Michael Turner had 76 yards on 21 carries in his matchup with Carolina and LeGarrette Blount totaled only 19 yards on 11 carries two games ago.
Although T.J. Yates showed glimpses against the Bengals last week, the Panthers will structure their game plan around limiting Foster by loading the box on obvious running downs.
If they can stop the long run that Foster has become known for, he won't reach 100 on the ground on Sunday.
