NHL Trade Rumors: Philadelphia Flyers and Teams That Shouldn't Panic Yet
As always, the NHL trade rumor hot stove is on full blast and this time it’s full of teams that shouldn’t be so quick to make a move just yet.
Teams like the Philadelphia Flyers and Pittsburgh Penguins are facing serious long-term injury questions, but it isn’t time to pull the trigger on a blockbuster move just yet.
All of the following teams are starting to panic, but should relax and take the trade market as it comes. Rushing trades in the NHL can be a death sentence to your prospect pool.

Philadelphia Flyers:
With a long-term injury to captain and defensive centerpiece Chris Pronger being compounded by the concussion of leading NHL scorer Claude Giroux, Flyers nation is in full panic mode.
Don’t fret Philadelphia Flyers fans, the team is doing well right now and they have taken every precaution necessary to make sure each of the injured players come back at 100-percent.
While making a move may be a nice short-term solution, the price Philadelphia would have to pay would diminish the prospect pool that they just rebuilt.
Pittsburgh Penguins:
With Sidney Crosby going out yet again with concussion-like symptoms, the Pittsburgh Penguins are starting to think long and hard about a backup plan.
The Penguins are in a solid position in the Eastern Conference as it stands now, so making a move right now would be premature.
These are the times when teams need to give their younger players a chance to shine and get them the experience they need to carry the load next time Crosby goes out injured.
Washington Capitals—The Washington Capitals are still engaged in a full-on nose dive, but that still doesn’t mean it’s time to trade Alex Semin.
Semin is still one of the most talented players in the NHL, but his streakiness is just something the Capitals will have to deal with. If they need anything, it’s better playing defenseman.
There is no way that Alex Ovechkin and the rest of Washington’s offense can remain this bad all season, so giving up on Semin now is just silly.
