UFC 140 Fight Card: Tito Ortiz Should Call It a Career with Another Loss

Jeff ChaseDec 10, 2011

After losing his five of his last six UFC fights, Tito Ortiz should call it a career if he manages to lose again at UFC 140. Ortiz will be put up against Antonio Rogerio Nogueira, who stands at 19-5 over his career. Noguerio hasn't won in the UFC since UFC 114, which was back in 2010.

Noguerio could put and end to Ortiz's career if he can claim a victory tonight. Noguerio has dropped his last two matches, so there is a question of how much longer the 35 year old can keep it up.

This match between Noguerio and Ortiz is between two men over the age of 30 and way past their prime. Neither man really stands at an advantage, but Ortiz has been on a more consistent slide as of late.

Neither man has much more left to their career, and that will likely result in this match going three rounds.

Considering that Ortiz's specialty is wrestling, he may have a hard time against Noguerio whose primary skill is boxing. If Noguerio can get some hard hits in there, he could end Ortiz's night most certainly.

If Noguerio can get Ortiz off his feet, he may be able to finish off Ortiz with a submission and end the night.

Chances are though, these two will battle it out for quite sometime, and this match will go the full time. The final result should be enough to show that Ortiz, and even Noguerio, should perhaps decide to hang them up following this match.

Otherwise, they could just make an embarrassment to what was once a promising and great career.
