Changes Needed for Cleveland Browns
The theme of change is what is going to be needed for the Cleveland Browns if they expect to get out of the hole that they have dug themselves into since this team came into the league just 10 years ago.
Knowing full well of the Browns history, this would be more or less a second Cleveland Browns team as Art Modell stole the original team. However, this second team has embarrassed the original Browns teams that actually were decent.
Accessing the situation even further, the biggest issue that the team needs to fix is the injury bug. Granted, they are going to happen, but what is scary is the number of guys getting injured right away.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
So what can be done about this situation and how to correct it? Either have the players come in prepared to play hard or get some new equipment. It is a mystery and you have to wonder why this happens so much to this team.
Coaching is an issue that will be addressed quickly, but how do you expect to do anything when you have a team going out and getting injured at such a high rate? Do something about that and it should be fixed not overnight but over time.
The coaching is actually something that must be fixed big time.
Romeo Crennel is just not getting it done as the head coach. The players obviously don’t respect him enough to really justify a way for him to stay. For a team that says they love playing under Crennel, they sure do have a way of showing it.
Three losing seasons under him as the head coach is more than enough to actually warrant being removed. With a record of 24-40 in four seasons as the coach, it doesn’t bode well for staying for another year now does it?
Upper management should get an evaluation as well. Does that mean Phil Savage must go as well? It could and that is a 50-50 call as it can be a tough one.
If you keep him, he gets one last shot to bring in some players to help this team and if there is no sign of improvement, then he has to go as well. It would probably be best to go for a GM that actually has experience.
The quarterback situation had best be figured out quickly as far as Derek Anderson goes. You have seen what happens without Brady Quinn and Anderson on the team, so that should be a sign that perhaps getting rid of one isn’t going to help, especially when there isn’t another one that can step in.
Unless the Browns find a serious backup quarterback for Quinn, it would be best to keep Anderson on the grounds as an emergency option and nothing more.
If this Browns team is ever going to be competitive, they had best find the right people in command with some experience as far as coaching and management goes. You don’t need superstar players to get it done, just those who can work well as a team.
