Week 14 Fantasy Rankings: WRs That Will Lead to Dominating Playoff Victories

Richard LangfordDec 7, 2011

These wide receivers are going to be hauling in playoff wins for their fantasy owners as they torch their helpless opposition.

Go ahead and start talking smack if you own any of the following receivers.

Detroit Lions WR Calvin Johnson

Opponent: Vikings

Calvin Johnson has fallen completely off of his torrid early season pace. Take a look at his game log.

His touchdowns have almost disappeared completely. However, Johnson is about to find his touchdown-making ways again this week.

The Vikings will make it nearly impossible for Johnson not to. Minnesota has been abysmal in pass defense all season. They are 26th in passing yards allowed, and these ugly numbers aren't getting any better.

Last week they let Tim Tebow torch them for 202 yards, which is roughly the equivalent of Matt Stafford throwing for 987 yards.

Making things look even brighter for Johnson is the fact that the Vikings are especially bad at guarding teams' No. 1 receivers. Football Outsiders ranks them 31st in stopping No. 1's.

Johnson will being the touchdown boogie multiple times this week.

Prediction: 113 yards, two touchdowns

San Diego Chargers WR Vincent Jackson

Opponent: Bills

The Chargers passing game finally looked like the Chargers passing game last week, and that came against the fourth-ranked pass defense of the Jaguars. Their opponent this week is not as highly regarded in pass defense.

This led to Jackson having a solid game of four catches for 72 yards and one touchdown. He will beat those numbers this week.

The Bills passing defense is atrocious pass defense. Buffalo is 23rd in yards allowed per pass attempt. They are even worse at defending a team's go-to receiver.

Football Outsiders ranks the Bills 28th in guarding teams' No. 1 receivers. That is good news for Jackson, who should find plenty of space to break free for big plays.

Jackson has been wildly inconsistent this year, and impossible to predict. The Bills defense takes the guesswork out of it this week though.

Prediction: Seven catches, 124 yards, one touchdown

Atlanta Falcons WR Roddy White

Opponent: Panthers

Roddy White was on a tear before he and the Falcons offense hit the road block that is the Texans defense last week.

He will have a much easier go of things this week against the Panthers. Look for White to jump back to the pace he was setting in the two games leading up to last week's Houston game.

In that span, White had a combined 267 receiving yards and a touchdown.

Carolina is a solid 15th in passing yards allowed, but that number is a mirage. They are 32nd in yards allowed per pass. They are also ranked 27th by Football Outsiders at stopping teams' No. 1 receivers.

Look for White and the Falcons to take out their offensive frustrations from last week against this weak defense.

Prediction: Six catches, 134 yards, one touchdown
