Week 13 Start 'Em, Sit 'Em: What to Do with Andre Johnson and Others
This late in the season, if you're vying for a playoff spot, making the correct decision is beyond imperative. Otherwise you'll just miss out on the postseason or a first-round bye.
That being said, here are four players to start/sit in Week 13:
Andre Johnson, WR, Texans (vs. Atlanta)

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Easily the most difficult decision to make this week is WR Andre Johnson of Houston. Last week in his return at Jacksonville, Johnson caught just two passes for 22 yards. The Jaguars do have a stout pass defense, but with any other than Matt Schaub under center, the production won't be there.
In addition, just coming off an injury, we can't expect Johnson to dominate. For one, that increases the risk of a re-injury and the Texans need him full-go in the postseason. Although the Falcons have the No. 23 ranked pass defense, they'll still be double-teaming him and playing single coverage elsewhere.
After last week, we can't expect a lot from him right now, so in spite of a bit more production, he's not going to warrant enough to start. Unless you're absolutely desperate, Johnson should remain on the bench.
Bench Andre Johnson
Eric Decker, WR, Broncos (at Minnesota)
As long as you have an open flex spot or No. 3 WR Eric Decker is a solid go. To begin, he's Tim Tebow's favorite target and has recorded eight TDs on the year.
Even when Tebow barely completes any passes, Decker's always a shoo-in for at least three of them. This week against the Vikings, the Broncos have an opportunity to smooth out their passing game.
Minnesota ranks No. 29 against the pass and as much as Denver runs the ball, the Vikings are solid in defending the ground game. So, expect more drop backs from Tebow as well as him buying time. Decker will run his route and if there's time, he'll break it off and catch a few backyard-style.
Either way Decker is a safe play because he's the Broncos' best receiver playing against a weak pass defense along with a versatile QB. Tebow may need to improve his throwing ability, but Decker bails him out quite often.

Andy Dalton, QB, Bengals (at Pittsburgh)
This relates more to those in leagues that start two QBs because in more one-leaguers, Bengals QB Andy Dalton comes off the bench. To that end, however, even in a two-QB league, Dalton needs to sit the bench in Week 13.
The first time Cincy played Pittsburgh, he had one of his worst games of the year by completing just 50 percent of his passes for only 170 yards (at home). Now that he's playing in Pittsburgh during a playoff atmosphere, we can't expect anything solid from Dalton.
And it's not so much that he's even a rookie (although that doesn't help) because the Steelers simply just play well at home late in the year. Not to mention The Steel Curtain ranks No. 3 against the pass and No. 6 against the rush.
Bench Andy Dalton (even in a two-QB league)
Chris Johnson, RB, Titans (at Bills)
To say that Titans RB Chris Johnson has been a vehement disappointment in 2011 would be a vehement understatement. What's interesting though about the AFC, however, is that for as inconsistent as Tennessee has played, it's still alive for the postseason.
As for fantasy football, those who have Chris Johnson have to be feeling good though because No. 28 has significantly turned things around in recent weeks. In two of the last three games he's gone over 125 rush yards and appears to be clicking once again.
Fortunately he will continue his uphill climb this week in Buffalo. The Bills rank No. 21 against the run and No. 22 against the pass. However, they thrive on picking off passes. So anticipate Johnson being fed early and often on the ground, and then via screens and check-downs thereafter.
His production is the key to beating Buffalo and limiting their INT opportunities, so Tennessee will see him roll once again.
