Robbie Gould Delivers Again: Chicago Bears Keep Playoff Hopes Alive with OT Win
It sure wasn't pretty, but the Chicago Bears came from behind to defeat the Green Bay Packers 20-17 on a Robbie Gould 38-yard game winning field goal at a frigid Soldier Field. The win keeps Chicago's playoff hopes alive.
The Packers (5-10) scored first when Aaron Rogers hit Greg Jennings for a seven-yard touchdown pass completing a 91-yard drive.
The Bears (9-6) would answer with a Robbie Gould 31-yard field goal, but the Packers would strike again when Rogers hit Ryan Grant for a 17-yard touchdown.

The Packers dominated the first half, and took a 14-3 to the locker room. The Green Bay defense held the Bears offensive to just 46-yards in the first half, while racking up 221 yards on the Bears defense.
The Bears would get a huge break in the the third quarter when Jarret Bush fumbled a Brad Maynard punt. Orton would connect with Desmond Clark for 21 yards, and two plays later he hit Greg Olson for a three-yard touchdown.
The Bears Defense would hold the Packers to just three points and 104-yards in in the second half.
With 3:11 left in the game, Matt Forte would score from three-yards out to tie the game. Forte would rush for 73-yards, 43 of them came on Chicago's final two possessions.
The Packers had an opportunity to take the lead at the end of regulation, but defensive end Alex Brown blocked Mason Crosby's 38-yard field goal to send the game to overtime.
Kyle Orton hit a 17-yard pass to Gregg Olsen, and a 15-yard horse-collar tackle put the Bears on the Green bay 35. Orton would connect with Matt Forte on a 14-yard pass putting the Bears in field goal range.
Two plays later Robbie Gould would connect from 38-yard giving Chicago their second straight overtime win.
If the Bears win in Houston on Sunday and the Vikes lose at home to the Giants, Chicago will capture the NFC North for the third time in four years.
