Ndamukong Suh Ejection: Lions DT Must Be Suspended for Kicking Antics
The NFL thinks Detroit Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh is a dirty player. Suh has insisted that he's not a dirty player.
After watching Suh get ejected from today's game against the Green Bay Packers for kicking an offensive lineman, who do you believe?
In case you missed it, Suh got tangled up with Packers guard Evan Dietrich-Smith with just a few minutes gone by in the third quarter. Suh ended up on top of Dietrich-Smith, and replays showed Suh repeatedly forcing Dietrich-Smith's head into the Ford Field turf.

When Suh got to his feet, he made sure he landed one more parting blow by stomping on Dietrich-Smith's right arm. He was flagged and was promptly ejected.
For those of you who would defend Suh, I have one question to ask: If actions like these don't make Suh a dirty player, what does?
One way or another, Suh is going to be hearing from the NFL about this. If you ask me, there's only one thing the NFL can do, and that's suspend him.
It would be one thing if we were talking about a first-time offender, but we're not. Suh hasn't even been in the league for two full years, yet his reputation already precedes him. He has incurred several fines for dirty hits on quarterbacks, the most notable of which was a $20,000 fine he got for delivering a nasty hit on Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton during the preseason.
And make no mistake, Suh's actions today look even worse seeing as how he actually went out of his way to get a crash course on NFL rules from commissioner Roger Goodell earlier this season. I'm going to presume that Goodell didn't even bother telling him that kicking other players is not cool.
Since Suh clearly isn't getting the message, the NFL needs to send him one loud and clear. Because fines and special lessons on the rules failed to keep Suh in line, the next reasonable step is to take him off the field.
It's possible that Suh's ways simply cannot be changed. However, that doesn't mean the NFL can't at least try its best to change them.
