Kyle Orton Release Proves Tim Tebow Mania is Just Beginning for Denver Broncos
Well folks, it appears to be one step closer to Kyle Orton being out of Denver, literally. According to Michael C. Wright of ESPN Chicago, the Bears may add Orton:
"Sources familiar with the situation said the Chicago Bears plan to put in a waiver claim to facilitate a potential reunion. The Bears could be looking to bring back Orton, despite his lack of familiarity with the system of offensive coordinator Mike Martz.
"
With that, it's impossible to think that anyone but Tim Tebow will be under center in Denver barring a complete meltdown. Being 4-1 in the last five games is great, so it's proven at least thus far that the Broncos are riding the Tebow wave to the end.

The question, however, is whether that end turns out to be bitter or sweet? To this point it's obviously the latter, and Tebow Mania is a train taking over the Mile High City. It's unlike anything else throughout the NFL.
While in college, Tebow became the first player to finish in the top three of the Heisman race three years in a row, and the first true sophomore to win it, as he did in 2007. Needless to say, there was an extensive amount of hype surrounding the former Florida Gator and college football legend.
It was concerning when the Broncos traded up in the 2010 NFL Draft to get him in the first round. However, since taking over he's clearly been one of the few correct decisions that Josh McDaniels ever made as a head coach.
Not to mention his jersey was flying off the shelves across the country.
That being said, what Tebow has done thus far in Denver has been nothing short of an attention-grabber. Sure it's impressive, but the obvious question is how long this type of offense can sustain in pro football.
Tebow's has established two possibilities during this short and yet positively controversial stretch:
1. He will forever change the NFL landscape, or...
2. The offensive scheme will soon fail, and Tebow will become a career backup.
As a Broncos fan, I'm obviously hoping for No. 1 as Denver has just one playoff win since John Elway retired. That said, objectively looking at the production, it would not come as a surprise if a college-style offense fails.
However, the 2012 offseason will be the deal-breaker.
Regardless of how 2011 finishes out for Denver, it won't have nearly the affect in comparison to how 2012 begins. If Tebow can become a much more effective pocket passer this offseason, the Broncos will have one dynamic offense.
Then that college style becomes a package to his repertoire, and maybe via the draft Denver adds some solid receiving targets. But, if Tebow can adjust to becoming more of a threat when throwing the ball, don't be surprised when NFL defenses adjust to his strengths.
He is a dynamic QB and his style and persona are contagious in a good way. But before we really make any objective assessments about how his NFL career will play out, we must allow him some time to try and develop. Because there is much to learn, especially with Elway watching his every move.
