The Yankees Will Always Be the Most Hated Team
The New York Yankees are the most hated team in sports. It will always be that way. The way Yankee haters think….
- The Yankees aren’t allowed to spend money. If they do, then they are “buying a team.” Does buying players guarantee a World Series Championship? No. I think we all know that.
- They aren’t allowed to go through a youth movement because they are the Yankees.
- They have won 26 championships. That is the most amount of championships in not only baseball, but in any sport. They should be more respected for that, and not bashed for it.

Yankees Call Up 6'7" Prospect 📈
No matter what the Yankees do, they will always be criticized. It’s just the way it is. The Yankees make a lot of money, but it’s not like the organization is keeping all the money for themselves. They put the money back into the team and give them the best chance to win every year.
Fans don’t even need a reason to bash the Yankees. It’s automatic now. They have blind Yankee hatred. If they sign any player..”they suck” and “they still aren’t going to make the playoffs.” That is what most people say when they hear news about them now. Is it even fair?
The funny part about it is that the Yankees made the postseason from 1995-2007. Now that the team missed the postseason in 2008, everyone seems to think they will never be in the postseason again. It’s actually funny. One bad year and now they can’t compete with the Sox and Rays? It’s hard to believe.
If the Yankees win the World Series in 2009, the reason will be because they bought the team. All fans will bring up is the fact that they spent $243.5 million dollars during the off-season. It’s a lose/lose situation for them. If they win..”they bought the team,” and if they lose..they are made fun of because they can’t win it all with the biggest payroll in baseball. It’s frustrating for Yankee fans to hear all of this. Trust me..I know.

Ken Rosenthal: Source: Pettitte-to-Yanks ‘virtually inevitable’
"The return of free-agent left-hander Andy Pettitte to the Yankees is “virtually inevitable,” according to a source with knowledge of the pitcher’s intentions. While a deal is not imminent, it is believed that the two sides will eventually come to an agreement on a one-year deal. The signing of Pettitte would likely end the Yankees’ pursuit of other free-agent pitchers, namely right-handers Derek Lowe and Ben Sheets.
The Yankees have offered Pettitte a one-year, $10 million deal (with some reports indicating the actual offer was $10.5 million), but the 36-year-old lefty has been reluctant to take a pay cut from his 2007 salary of $16 million.
No other teams have shown serious interest in Pettitte, who has repeatedly expressed a desire to pitch in the new Yankee Stadium, which opens in April.
"
It would be nice to have Andy back for a year. You can never have too much pitching. I think Andy should take the $10 million the Yanks offered him, but I honestly believe he may be worth more. In this baseball era, pitchers are at a premium and even crappy pitchers get millions of dollars who don’t even deserve it. Andy Pettitte is a veteran pitcher and has been a workhorse for years. It will be interesting to see what happens.
