Chelsea vs. Liverpool: Why Andre Villas-Boas' Job Would Be in Danger with Loss
Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas' job will be in danger if the Blues fail to beat their Premier League rivals Liverpool at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.
Villas-Boas has not beaten one of the "Big 4" clubs of England this season, losing 3-1 to Manchester United at Old Trafford and 5-3 to Arsenal at the Bridge.
Even after Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich spent a lot of money to get AVB, we have seen the Russian billionaire have an itchy trigger finger when it comes to letting managers go.

A loss to Liverpool on Sunday would be Chelsea's fourth loss of the season, and would likely destroy their hopes of winning another league title.
Chelsea's title hopes over in November? That is not good enough for a team this talented that has spent an insane amount of money to try to win the Champions League.
Under Jose Mourinho and some of his successors, Chelsea has always made Stamford Bridge their fortress, a ground where it was incredibly tough to come in and win.
While the Premier League is very important, winning the Champions League is the ultimate goal for the Blues.
Despite having an undefeated record thus far in group play, Chelsea still has tough matches against Bayern Leverkusen and Valencia remaining.
Both will be difficult matches and a failure to win the group could mean that Chelsea get a massively difficult opponent in the round of 16.
Andre Villas-Boas certainly never faced this kind of pressure at FC Porto. He is a young and inexperienced manager that had no idea how much pressure he would be under at Chelsea, where expectations in the Premier League are the highest of any league in Europe.
He knew Chelsea was a demanding job with huge expectations, but I am not sure if he knew it would be this challenging.
AVB is under pressure to save his squad's league title hopes in November. He must find a way for Spanish striker Fernando Torres' goal machine to get revved up again, and he must prove that despite his inexperience he can be a successful coach in the most competitive football league in the world.
Villas-Boas is a fine manager, but he must realize his owner won't accept failure so soon into the season.
If he does not find success soon, his tenure at Chelsea may last as long as his team's 2011-12 Champions League campaign does.
