San Diego Chargers vs. Chicago Bears: Live Score, Video and Analysis
The San Diego Chargers traveled to Soldier Field to take on the Chicago Bears in an attempt to break their four-game losing streak. Instead, Jay Cutler played one of his best games of the season and led the Bears to a 31-20 victory to extend their winning streak to five games.
All game, Cutler was able to evade pressure and zip the ball into extremely small windows to his receivers.
Johnny Knox was on the receiving end of two of Cutler's more amazing throws of the game. On one of Knox's receptions, Cutler placed the ball on Knox's back shoulder. The ball placement allowed the 42-yard throw to be complete, despite fantastic coverage by Antoine Cason.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Cutler's other amazing throw to Knox went for a touchdown. Cutler placed the ball in the very back of the end zone and Knox was able to get both feet down in the end zone before falling out-of-bounds. Once again, Cason had Knox blanketed on the play.
Matt Forte was bottled up by the Chargers, but Cutler's great play throughout the game was more than enough for the Bears to win the game. Cutler finished the game with 286 yards, two touchdowns and one interception.
For the majority of the game, Philip Rivers looked like the Rivers of past seasons. However, he threw two ridiculously bad interceptions in the fourth quarter, which will rightfully make all of his naysayers come out of the woodwork.
Vincent Jackson was the star of the game for the Chargers. He was able to consistently get open deep against the Bears' defensive backs. Jackson finished the game with seven catches, 165 yards and one touchdown.
Ryan Mathews was the most disappointing player of the game for the Chargers. Mathews fumbled twice, losing one of them to the Bears. The lost fumble directly led to a Bears' touchdown.
Even worse, Mathews' propensity to fumble led to the coaching staff to tell him to work on to holding onto the ball extensively during the offseason. Mathews' performance in today's game could lead to being put in the doghouse.
In addition to Cutler's great game, the Bears received great play from their special teams. On two punt returns, Devin Hester had 59 yards. Knox also returned a kickoff for 53 yards.
Two things that can be gleaned from the result of this game are that the Bears look like a legitimate contender and the Chargers continue to look like a mediocre team that might have to rebuild.
Final score: Bears 31-20
