Penn State Scandal: Jerry Sandusky Video Death Sentence Was TMW's Only Option
One look at the picture of Jerry Sandusky in "Joe Paterno: Linebackers" makes it clear that TMW Media had no choice but to give the video that death penalty.
TMZ reports that the video has been taken down by the company due to Sandusky's involvement. It's not exactly a secret why they would be inclined to pull it.
What would be perceived as a harmless, instructional video a month ago now looks sick and twisted. Sandusky's alleged assaults on young boys he came into contact with makes this video fall under the classification of disturbing footage, rather than a learning experience.
The picture, found on TMZ's site, looks as though it's part of a distasteful caption contest. It's almost too crazy to believe that it's actually real, sort of like the title of Sandusky's book, "Touched."
This video would have undoubtedly seen a spike in sales, as not many people were probably inclined to purchase and instructional linebacker video from the 1990's prior to the scandal.
TMW Media distanced themselves from Sandusky and didn't cash in while they had the chance and for that, they should be applauded.
Unlike many involved in the Penn State scandal, the company did what was right rather than what was convenient, and now they get a pat on the back, rather than an irreparably tarnished image. See how that works?
TMW Media didn't just make the right call, they made the only call. Those who are making money off of material Sandusky is featured in need to take notes.
