Aaron Rodgers Wise To Ignore Skip Bayless and Pathetic Pundits
Aaron Rodgers is quickly asserting himself as the best quarterback in the NFL with his impressive performances, and he is a very smart man for never getting worked up about what people have to say about him.
The Super Bowl MVP was doing his weekly radio spot for 540 ESPN Milwaukee, and he told Jason Wilde, a co-host and Packers reporter for ESPNMiluwakee.com (they have that? News to me as well) that it is too silly to take to heart the negative things critics talk about.
Rodgers was mainly talking about ESPN's Skip Bayless, whose crazy antics are seen every morning on ESPN's First Take.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Here is some of what Rodgers had to say.
""A lot of them are just going for the shock value of what they’re saying, as is typified by that guy on ESPN...All he does is say things that are so ridiculous just for the shock value. So everybody who was saying stuff about our team this offseason about not getting together for workouts, there hasn’t been a lot of talk about that.
I think sometimes people forget about the human element to our story. We take stuff personally at times. We get upset if somebody says something real negative about us, but more than that, our families do, our friends do, and they feel like they need to tell you.
So, I think that stuff just reminds you that you can’t take yourself too seriously, and you can’t take the pundits too seriously."
"
Bayless was quite adamant during the offseason that Rodgers and the Packers not getting together during the lockout like Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints were doing was going to come back and haunt the defending champs.
When the Rodgers and company came out firing and beat the Saints in the NFL season opener, Rodgers delivered an ultimate comeback.
"I was going to ask myself, what would have happened if we had had offseason workouts? I mean, could we have started any faster and scored more points tonight?” Rodgers told reporters after the game.
He's a laid back guy, and that's the type of person the NFL wants to market the heck out of. Rodgers is steadily becoming the face of the league with his dominant showing week after week, leading the Packers to a 9-0 start.
The Green Bay Packers official Twitter page points out how great Rodgers has been this season.
The 27-year-old is the leader of the team, and if he shows too much care in what somebody like Bayless has to say about him then he never would have become an elite star of the NFL.
In fact, if Rodgers paid attention to what the pundits say, he would have fizzled out in his early years behind legendary Brett Favre.
He fell to the bottom of the first round on draft day, and many were stating he would be a nobody in the league. Instead of letting that get to his head, Rodgers worked extra hard, and it has all paid off.
The work of course isn't over, as Rodgers has plenty of years left under his belt and aims to win more and more championships.
He's a winner, and that's what winners do.
So when Bayless tweets stuff like this:
Or this:
Rodgers more than likely just laughs it off.
Bayless is on television to make outrageous statements that upset people. He gets a kick out of people tweeting how much they hate him.
As long as people are watching, that's all Bayless cares about. He is nothing more than a character that displays eccentric attributes to get people riled up.
Rodgers is well aware of this, and his intelligence is on full parade in that interview.
There is no need for him to lower himself to the level of bottom-feeders like Bayless and other so-called experts. He is very wise to not show emotion towards what one of them states about him or his team.
Rodgers is here to play football, and he certainly is doing that better than anyone else in the league right now.
When asked if he would ever go on the show with Bayless, Rodgers replied, "I don’t even want to give him the satisfaction of me going on that show and schooling him. Without a doubt I think I would."
He'd own him just like he's owning every defense he's been up against. Nobody can stop him right now, and it's because he keeps a level head, stays focused and keeps his eyes on the prize: hoisting another Super Bowl trophy this coming winter.
