Boise State vs. San Diego State: TV Schedule, Live Stream, Game Time and More
The Boise State Broncos hit the road to take on the San Diego State Aztecs, and they're hoping they can get a victory to help heal the wounds left behind from a gut-wrenching loss last week.
This is the first time these two schools will play each other, and just because the Aztecs aren't ranked, don't think for a second they can't put up a fight.
The Broncos are coming off their first home loss in a decade, whereas the Aztecs are looking to extend their win streak to three games.
The BCS National Championship Game is out of the picture now for Boise State, but they can't lose sight of what lies ahead, as they need to win out in impressive fashion and get a little luck to reach a BCS bowl.
With that said, let's take a look at some specifics of this Mountain West Conference showdown.

BCS/Top 25 Implications
For the Aztecs, a win over the Broncos would give them a great push toward the polls. It's doubtful they get in right away, but should they win out, the Aztecs could very well squeak into the Top 25.
The Broncos took a hit after their loss to TCU, but at No. 10 in the nation, there is still hope for a BCS bowl. It's doubtful, though, because Boise State would need to win its conference as well as hope Houston drops a game, and neither of those seem likely.
What They're Saying
Chadd Cripe covers the Broncos for the Idaho Statesman, and he tweeted a quote from senior safety Geore Iloka, who was adamant Boise State will bounce back from the loss.
It's great to keep your spirits up after a loss, but he is way over here. Iloka fails to realize that this does define the Broncos' season.
For two straight years, a missed field goal has knocked Boise State out of contention for the BCS title, and that's how these very talented teams will always be remembered. In 10 years, when you think of the Broncos led by Kellen Moore, you'll remember them for choking in the regular season in back-to-back years.
Brent Schrotenboer covers the Aztecs for The San Diego Union-Tribune, and he tweeted the updates on San Diego State's star running back.
Hillman has missed multiple days of practice this week, but all signs are pointing to him playing. The Aztecs desperately need him on the field because of his quick speed and great vision on the field.
The sophomore running back is second in the nation in rushing with 1,278 yards, and if he is unable to play, the Aztecs will have to burn a redshirt on freshman running back redshirt freshman Adam Muema, who has 15 carries on the year.
The backup running back was Walter Kazee, but he recently suffered a season-ending injury.
Boise State Player To Watch
Kellen Moore had a good game last week, but he didn't get the win, and that's all that matters.
All eyes will be on him to see if he can motivate this team to forget about the TCU loss and do whatever it takes to beat the Aztecs.
The senior quarterback is a great leader, and he must have a strong game in order to keep the Broncos' hopes alive.
San Diego State Player To Watch
Ryan Lindley has to elevate his game to new heights on Saturday, especially if Hillman doesn't end up playing.
The Aztecs quarterback is coming off a mediocre game against Colorado State, but he has to be better than superb against Boise State, or the Aztecs will falter.
This is a huge game for Lindley's future, as many will be watching to see how he handles the pressure. The 6'4", 230-pound quarterback will get a lot of looks at the end of the season, as he has the size and arm to play at the next level.
However, scouts will want to know how he fared against one of the toughest games he'll have to play in this season.
Key Matchup
The Broncos pass defense was torched for 473 yards and five touchdowns last weekend. They have to be better on Saturday, because Lindley is going to be airing it out.
The Aztecs know that consistent and precise passing is the way to take down the Broncos, which is why Boise State's secondary has to step up, or it could be another long night.
Key Storyline
This is the first—and possibly last—time the Broncos and the Aztecs will play each other as conference foes. The Broncos are planning to move to the Big East soon, so beating the Aztecs in year one of the MWC is very important for Boise State.
On the other hand, this game is also extremely crucial to the Aztecs, as they'll be losing a very talented quarterback at the end of the year, and they will take a drop next year having to replace him.
Now is the best time for San Diego State to pull the upset, but it remains to be seen if they will seize this opportunity.
Prediction
The Aztecs will put up a good fight, but in the end the Broncos will prevail. Boise State isn't going to lose twice in a row, and even though this is a road game for them, they will take care of business.
If Hillman plays, the Broncos will have their hands full for all four quarters, but Kellen Moore knows how important this game is, and he'll come through in the clutch.
