California vs. Stanford: TV Schedule, Live Stream, Radio, Game Time and More
9-1 Stanford's BCS title hopes flew out the window last week after they were dismantled by Oregon. It may seem hard for them to find the motivation to compete, but they've still got a chance to go to a great bowl game, and Andrew Luck isn't out of the Heisman race just yet.
This is a statement game for the Cardinal. Are they going to pout and lick their wounds, or will they come out, smack Cal (6-4) in the mouth and reassert themselves as a national powerhouse?
Let's take a closer look to see who has the upper hand in this matchup.
Where: Stanford Stadium (Stanford, CA)
When: 10:15 p.m. EST on Nov. 19, 2011
Watch: ESPN/ESPN3
Listen: Stanford Radio 90.1 FM
Betting Line: Stanford -19.5 , according to SportsBook.com
Go with Stanford. Don't worry about the spread in this one, as Andrew Luck will be looking to rebound from his embarrassing multi-interception game last week and reestablish himself as the Heisman frontrunner once again.
Stanford is still one of the best teams in the country, and they are squaring off against a Cal team that lost to UCLA by 17 earlier in the season.
Expect this one to get ugly, as Cal has no shot at extending their win streak to three games.
Key Storyline
Is this Jeff Tedford's last season at Cal?
All eyes may be on Stanford, but the sad fact of the matter is that Jeff Tedford may have played his last home game last week.
Cal finishes the season on the road against Stanford and ASU. The Golden Bears are more than likely going to lose both and will move to a 6-6 record, which won't sit well with the program.
Tedford burst onto the scene at Cal, jumping out to a 43-20 record in his first five seasons. He has recently regressed significantly, though, and his inability to produce a winner this year could easily seal his fate.
Conversely, a win this week or next week could easily save his job.

BCS/Top 25 Implications:
Cal is still technically bowl eligible. They face an uphill battle for the last two weeks, but going out with a bang would ultimately lock down a bowl for the Bears, and may even save their coach's job.
The question for Stanford isn't if they'll go to a bowl or not—it's which one. They still have a chance to jump back into the Top 5.
Cal Player to Watch: Zach Maynard
Zach Maynard came out swinging this season, but has since regressed into a virtual non-factor. After seven games with over 200 yards, he has failed to hit that mark in three straight games. During that span, he has thrown five picks and only two touchdowns.
If Cal is going to have any shot in this matchup, Maynard has to dominate.
Stanford Player to Watch: Andrew Luck
All eyes are on Andrew Luck. His team got blown away last week, and he played a major role in the loss. He's not invincible; he looked rattled last week, and everyone is going to be looking for him to return to form.
If he fires back with a vengeance, Cal is going to buckle—just like every team prior to Oregon did.
Key Matchup: Cal's front seven vs. Andrew Luck
Oregon drew up the blueprint for taking down Luck. Without Chris Owusu on hand, Stanford has no one to stretch the field and take the heat off of Luck.
Oregon proves that the way to take care of Luck is to attack him. They may think that they are in trouble if they blitz the best quarterback in the nation, but if they sit back and let Luck pick them apart, the Bears will have no chance.
On the Hot Seat: Stanford's offensive line
Is Stanford's offensive line overrated? They allowed three sacks last week and a number of hurries that forced Luck to feel uncomfortable. The question will now be, "How does Andrew Luck perform when his protection isn't perfect?"
The job of future first-round picks Jonathan Martin and David DeCastro is to make sure scouts don't get the chance to find out for the rest of the season.
