Week 11 Fantasy Football Rankings: James Starks and RBs Who'll Own Soft Defenses

Kyle VassaloNov 15, 2011

James Starks keeps putting forth these 60-75-yard performances that tease fantasy owners. He's gotten nine to 13 carries in every single game he's played in this season and at best, he's been a guy who can pick up some points in fantasy leagues when you are in a pinch.

This week, he's a must start.

The Packers are going up against the Buccaneers this week and though Aaron Rodgers won't have any issues against their pass defense, you can expect Starks to put on a show against their 29th-ranked run defense that allows 138.2 rushing YPG.

The Packers utilize their passing game in the red zone, but their explosive offense going up against such a miserable defense is going to make guys who are usually role players in the offense, like Starks, superstars.

He's not the only running back who is going to rip apart soft defenses. Here are two backs who will share his success.

Maurice Jones-Drew vs. Cleveland Browns

The nice part about having Maurice Jones-Drew on your fantasy team is that you know he's pretty much all the Jaguars have. He's the only guy on their offense they can count on to dominate and this week, he happens to be going up against a heinous Browns defense.

Cleveland gives up 142.8 YPG on the ground. MoJo was able to rack up over 100 on the Ravens defense. What do you think he's going to do to Cleveland?

He's got four rushing touchdowns on the year and hasn't been overly impressive this season. With the Texans losing Matt Schaub for the season, the Colts being out of it completely and Chris Johnson's Titans ranking last in the league in rushing, expect the new playoff life the three-win Jags have to inspire the team and the run game in particular.

Don't look now, but the Dolphins have won back-to-back games and Reggie Bush is finally showing flashes of the player Miami thought they were landing in free agency.

Bush's 242 rushing yards in his last three games are more than he accrued in the first six.

This week, he takes on the Bills, who don't have the team speed to catch Bush if he gets rolling. The Bills allowed DeMarco Murray to break loose for 135 yards and a score last week, and while they are different backs, you can expect Bush to see similar production.
