NFL Week 11 Predictions: Projecting the Top Fantasy Football Performances

Chris TrapassoNov 15, 2011

Week 11 is the final bye week of the season, but there are still a variety of great matchups for fantasy football's biggest stars.

These guys should have the best days at their respective positions.

Quarterback

Aaron Rodgers

The Buccaneers secondary is currently ranked 28th in the league and was torched by Drew Brees and Matt Schaub in consecutive losses the last two weeks.

Rodgers is piecing together the most prolific season we've ever seen from a quarterback—and his receivers aren't bad, either.

Huge day for No. 12.

That's too obvious—I'll give you two more signal-callers.

Carson Palmer

I know the Raiders will run the football frequently, especially if Darren McFadden returns, but Carson Palmer is facing the Vikings' porous secondary.

His speedy wideouts will stretch the defense, which will set up screens for Michael Bush and Run DMC.

He's in quite the situation with the talent and athleticism surrounding him.

Not only has the Redskins offense been horrible, their defense hasn't been respectable over the last month.

Romo is on fire right now and is coming off one of the best games of his career.

Dallas will use the pass to get a big lead against Washington. With Laurent Robinson, the Miles Austin injury isn't a huge deal.

Running Back

Marshawn Lynch

Lynch has averaged 122 yards on the ground and 27 carries in his last two games. This week, he faces the Rams' 32nd-ranked run defense that's allowing nearly 151 rushing yards per game this year.

Something tells me he'll get between 25 and 30 carries again and will be extremely successful.

Peterson was mostly bottled up against the Packers on Monday night, but he gets a very favorable matchup in Week 11 against the Raiders.

Oakland has a dynamic running offense, but they can't stop the run on defense. Opponents are averaging 5.2 yards per carry against them.

Wide Receiver

The Bills secondary was totally exploited against the Cowboys last week, and Dez Bryant won the jump ball over Leodis McKelvin to open up the scoring in Dallas' rout.

Marshall poses a similar threat.

Matt Moore has been more comfortable in the pocket the last two games, and Buffalo's pass-rush is one of the weaker units in the league.

Victor Cruz

The Giants simply have too many talented wide receivers for the Eagles' over-hyped secondary to handle.

Hakeem Nicks is still the No. 1 option when he's healthy, but Cruz has been the most reliable pass-catcher of late, with at least six receptions in each of his last three games.

With Nnamdi Asomugha likely on Nicks for the majority of the game, Cruz should be able to work over the middle and gain yards after the catch.
