NFL Power Rankings: Bills and Top First-Half Surprises Plummeting Fast
The Buffalo Bills' season is sliding off a cliff in a hurry.
They have lost three of their last four games, have scored a combined 18 points in their last two games and are dealing with tons of injuries.
Center Eric Wood and linebacker Chris White both suffered season-ending injuries against the Cowboys, and receiver Steve Johnson is questionable for next week’s game against the Dolphins as well.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
The offense has sputtered after scoring at least 20 points in each of their first seven games, and their defense isn’t coming up with turnovers anymore.
The dirty little secret about the Bills' early season success was the defensive unit gave up a ton of yards, but were bailed out by turnovers. They rank 27th against the pass and 23rd against the run, and are getting worse. Without the turnovers, they’ve given up 71 points in the last two ballgames.
With a 1-3 road record, this team isn’t built for the playoffs. Expect them to struggle in getting to .500.
Here are two other teams sliding fast:
17. Philadelphia Eagles
This season has been a nightmare and it starts with Andy Reid. How does he let DeSean Jackson pout and skip team meetings? He has watched his undisciplined defense give up fourth-quarter leads seemingly every game, and he still can’t fully utilize Michael Vick’s talents.
At 3-6, this team basically needs to win the rest of their games to even have a shot.
No way that’s happening.
I expect the veterans to quit and this team will be battling the Redskins for the worst record in the NFC East. Speaking of Washington…
31. Washington Redskins
How low can this team go?
Their 3-1 record seems like ages ago in Washington, and after losing to the hapless Dolphins you have to wonder if Mike Shanahan should be worried about his job. He keeps changing his mind on the whole Rex Grossman or John Beck debate, never a good thing for the confidence of your entire offensive unit.
Clearly, both of them are awful, but he should have known this going into the season. With a running game that has fallen off a cliff as well, it’s hard to picture the ‘Skins winning another two or three games this season.
Let the battle of the cellar-dwellers in the NFC East begin!
