Matt Leinart Gets One Last Chance at Redemption with Matt Schaub Sidelined
Do you remember that Matt Leinart guy? If not, you are about to see a whole lot more of him, and for his sake I hope it goes a lot better than last time.
ESPN reported on Monday that Matt Schaub had suffered a, "significant foot injury that will force him to miss several weeks."
Now the man that came into the league as a sure thing will get what may be one last shot at redemption. If the Texans are to fail when they come back from a bye week, that will lay heavily on Leinart's head.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Consider what Leinart has going for him at the moment. The Texans are on a roll right now after winning their fourth straight. They also have a comfortable lead in the AFC South.
The defense continues to be stout and the rushing game delivers added punch on offense. Matt Schaub hasn't been a superstar.
Sure, he has had a couple games here and there where he looked unbeatable. But for the large part he has been a competent quarterback that hasn't screwed things up too bad. Now we get to see what the Texans look like with a guy that is predisposed to screw things up.
With a bye week and an already established knowledge to the offense, Matt Leinart has no excuses, zero. He should be able to step in against an awful Jaguars team on November 27th and get the win. As long as he doesn't blow up, the Texans should be fine.
This is a feast or famine opportunity for Leinart. He has the squad to make him look like a legitimate starter and encourage teams to look his way for an opening.
It is also a chance to wash away any hope that Leinart can ever be more than an NFL bust. The Arizona Cardinals tried at every turn to make Leinart into a respectable player that could lead men on the field of battle.
The returns were less than savory as he left Arizona with mediocre being the best he could provide. If this college football superstar is ever going to be known for anything more than a bust, it will have to begin with a win against the Jaguars after the bye.
Anything less will serve to strengthen our assumption that Leinart is one thing, a horrible quarterback.
