Eagles DeSean Jackson Inactive: Will He Go the Way of T.O. and Randy Moss?
DeSean Jackson is inactive today as the Philadelphia Eagles host the Arizona Cardinals, NFL Network's Jason La Canfora has reported. He is being benched by Andy Reid for failing to show up to a team meeting yesterday.
Fantasy owners should be scrambling right about now to pick up someone from the waiver wire.
A source close to the innards of the Eagles organization said that the team had, "no choice" but to keep him out of the entire game because Jackson wasn't simply late; he never showed up.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
When asked about the incident, Jackson told teammates that he didn't premeditate this infraction, rather he forgot to set his alarm clock.
This little spat between Jackson and the Eagles only highlights the rift that has been under the surface all year long. Jackson wants a bigger contract. Who can blame him? He is making peanuts compared to some of the big time receivers in the NFL.
DeSean Jackson is an extremely gifted young man. He is the favored target of quarterback, Michael Vick. He has the rare ability to stretch the field and opposing defenses.
But will he ever live up to his ability? He leads the league in dropped passes with 12. This little stunt won't sit well with his teammates and coaches. He is beginning to remind me of a couple other elite wide receivers that never lived up to their rare potential.
Randy Moss and Terrell Owens will certainly be recognized as the Hall of Fame players that they were. But many people have lamented the way the two of them never were able to truly be all that they could be.
DeSean Jackson is on the same path. He might never be mentioned in the same breath as the two of them, from a record's standpoint, but he could be if not for his propensity to make football more about him than about the team.
Selfish players are cancerous to NFL locker rooms. Someone needs to grab Jackson before it's too late and set the young player straight. He is a rare talent, and it would be a shame to waste it.
