Cincinnati Bengals vs. Tennessee Titans: Spread Info, Line and Predictions
The Cincinnati Bengals head to Nashville to take on the Tennessee Titans. Both teams are playing just to keep in stride for the top of the division.
The Bengals were not expected to enjoy this much heat at this part of the season. They are living the high-life as they continue to prove that a little offense is enough when you defend as well as they do.
For the Titans, it's about getting a win for a postseason contender that is teetering between flourishing and ruin. Tennessee needs Chris Johnson to figure out whatever is ailing him if they hope to really contend for the division.

Pride, passion and prestige are all nice, but this game is about a win. Of course every team needs a W in the sprint that is the NFL season, but these two teams are teetering and desperately need a victory to stay in contention for the division.

Fantasy Start 'Em, Sit' Em and Sleeper
The player to sit is easy here. Chris Johnson should take virtual pine in every league he is owned. The star running back is a ghost of his former self and will give a bulk of the touches over to Javon Ringer, my sleeper of this week by the way.
Cedric Benson is back but I still see him struggling upon his return. If one Bengals star is going to have a great game, it's going to be AJ Green, as Andy Dalton will target him all game.
What They're Saying
Jim Wyatt of The Tennessean reports on how close this series has been historically. "Talk about close. Dating back to 1968, the Oilers/Titans and Bengals have met 72 times. The Oilers/Titans lead the series 39-32-1, but the total score is identical: Oilers/Titans 1,677, Bengals 1,677."
Doug Harris of The Dayton Daily News writes on how fun Bengals have become to watch. "When the Cincinnati Bengals beat the Cleveland Browns in the season opener, I figured it was a fluke and told friends I thought the Browns would end up being the team with more wins this year. I’m still not convinced I’ll be wrong, but I’ve got to admit the Bengals not only are defying the odds, but they’re fun to watch..."
Bengals Player to Watch
Cedric Benson is my X-factor for Cincinnati. He will either be super charged after sitting out a suspension or go back to his struggling ways. The Bengals will need him to be on if they are going to win what figures to be a close one.
Titans Player to Watch
I have to go with another running back. Chris Johnson is losing faith from the fans as he continues to show no signs of returning to form. The boos will continue and Javon Ringer will continue to rise if he falters yet again.
Key Matchup
The Bengals will have to air it out to beat the Titans. An inconsistent ground game simply can't be the impetus to a victory. I don't trust Benson figuring things out, so I'm putting all my faith in Andy Dalton.
The Titans will get the win if they can limit what AJ Green is allowed to do on the wings. This is going to be a game of inches played through the air.
On the Hotseat
Nothing much to report on this count.
Prediction
Bengals 24, Titans 20
