Manchester United vs. Otelul Galati: Reds Team News, Predicted Starting 11
Manchester United entertain Romanian champions Otelul Galati in Champions League Group C on Wednesday night, returning to the Old Trafford pitch for the first time since their humiliating 6-1 defeat to Manchester City.
United are currently second in Group C, with a win and two draws from their opening three games. Sir Alex Feguson's team beat Galati 2-0 in Bucharest last time out, with both goals scored from the penalty spot by Wayne Rooney.
With group leaders Benfica up next, followed by a trip to face a Basel team who forced a 3-3 draw at Old Trafford, United will be looking to wrap up a straightforward three points against Galati.

""We have to win on Wednesday, without doubt,” Ferguson said. "We’re at home and I expect us to win and, if we do that, qualification is in our hands when we play Benfica at home."

United enter the game buoyed by a 1-0 Premier League win against Everton on Saturday, achieved with a first-half winner by Javier Hernandez, and with celebrations in full flow for Ferguson's 25th anniversary as United manager this coming weekend.
United team news
Nemanja Vidic is suspended for the clash, following his sending off in Bucharest two weeks ago. United will also be without the injured Chris Smalling (foot), Ryan Giggs (hamstring), Ashley Young (toe) and Tom Cleverley (foot).
Ferguson says he only expects to only make "two or three changes" to the team that beat Everton, which could mean Rio Ferdinand in for Vidic, and perhaps Anderson for Cleverley. Nani started on the bench at Goodison Park, so could also return to the starting lineup.
Predicted United starting XI (4-4-2)
De Gea, Jones, Ferdinand, Evans, Evra, Park, Fletcher, Anderson, Nani, Rooney, Hernandez
United player to watch: Rio Ferdinand
""Rio is almost 33 and has obviously lost the yard of pace he had five years ago, and he has to tailor his game a different way," said Ferguson this week. "He cannot rely on his pace any more. That is obvious. We have all faced that decisive moment in our careers when we have had to realise that we have to change our game.
"I had to do it myself when I lost my sharpness, and Rio will have to do the same and if he does he will be fine."
"
It sounds like Rio has a point to prove, and he'll be desperate to put in a commanding performance after watching over the derby debacle.
Galati player to watch: Ioan Filip
Defensive midfielder Filip did a good job of frustrating United in the game two weeks ago. The 22-year-old will be positioned just in front of the Galati back four, and tasked with tracking the likes of Rooney and Nani if they make runs from deep.
